ALERT: NEW COMMERCIAL WORK! Picture this: 40+ people on set, including over 20 actors and 10+ crew members, all relying on you to deliver. There’s no way you can personally guide each person through every shot, every scene, every moment. That’s where your team comes in. It’s all about having a solid team you can trust to nail their roles without you having to micromanage every little thing. I had an amazing crew that knew exactly what to do—whether it was setting up lighting, choosing the right lenses, or handling hair and makeup. Having experts on your team means you can focus on what you do best—be that directing or shooting, etc.—while they take care of their specialties. It’s less stress, fewer fires to put out, and a smoother production overall. Trust me, things never go 100% as planned, but when you have a crew that’s prepared and knows their stuff, you can handle anything that comes your way. And here’s a little secret for those looking to get more gigs in this industry: It’s not about having the latest gear or the flashiest portfolio. It’s about being someone people know, like, and trust. Show up, do the work, be reliable, and bring that positive energy to the set. That’s how you get called back for more jobs and build a rep as someone people want on their team. So, if you’re serious about leveling up, focus on building those relationships and being the kind of person others can count on. It’ll take you further than any piece of equipment ever could. More on the host of Swell, Outspring: "Outspring is a gathering place for women who love to get outside. Products, services, experiences, and stories for and by women. Connections that bring us closer to nature, ourselves, and each other." Swell is integrated into this statement on a molecular level, and as a women-owned business ourselves, it was really important to capture the weekend from a female perspective. We hired an all female team to capture Swell '23. Co-founder Madelaine Anderson (left) produced and directed the project, Chelsea Hope Dutton (middle) was the photographer, and Julia Camp (right) was the cinematographer. The three worked together to capture weekend and did an amazing job! -- #talusfilms #explore #collaborate #create #videographer #videography #productioncompany #videoproduction #videoproductioncompany #chicagoproductioncompany #chicagovideo #chicagovideoproductioncompany #outspring #outdoors #outdoorindustry #outdoormarketing #outdoorindustrymarketing

#HR #Network #TalentAlert Read the story and schedule an informational interview with Adriana The skill set she offers is what many organizations and teams need to be ready for the future of work. #changeleadership #storytelling #humanpowerskills #resilience #adaptability
(Bilingual) Human Centric HR Professional, with a passion for change management and creating positive social and workplace change. My experience: HR, Change Management, storytelling and the creative field.
10 years ago, I moved to New York City from Montreal. I worked out of Manhattan, for a Human Rights organization, with an office by the Rockefeller Plaza. It felt like “I made it”. I had great colleagues (Faisal Saeed Al Mutar, Skip) We were doing important work, making a difference in the world. After some time, I had a feeling of “there is more you can do.” I tried to ignore it. Then, I got a phone call. An invitation for a 2-week volunteer photography opportunity. Would you believe I walked away from my life in New York City for that? I did. It was not an easy decision. I packed my life. With a large hiking backpack filled with camera gear, I joined Canadian Medical Missions to Ukraine, organized by the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. It was their 2nd ever medical mission and I was their official photographer. (Program now called Canada-Ukraine Surgical Aid Program) It was May, 2015. I had never been in an operating room before in my life. Now, I found myself in the operating rooms of the main military hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine, with wounded Ukrainian soldiers, and Canadian and Ukrainian medical teams performing complex reconstructive surgeries, on significant war injuries. I learned to be a “fly on the wall”, avoiding the impeccable flow and movement of the surgical teams doing their important work. I caught the moments that mattered with my camera. Yet… I couldn’t help but ask myself, “what more can I do?” I flipped my camera from photo to video and began to film. I joined the next mission… That two-week volunteer photography opportunity turned into a 2-3 year ordeal. 🌟The Result:🌟 🏆 An award-winning documentary film “Recovery Room” about Canadian medical missions to Ukraine. 📸 My photography published in: Toronto Star, Maclean's magazine, The Globe and Mail, Le Journal De Montreal, TVA, CTV, Kyiv Post, Euromaidan Press Since then, I changed careers into Human Resources. The thread of wanting to make a difference remains. I’ve fallen in love with Change Management, as it weaves all my experiences together, from storytelling to Human Resources to leading people with empathy and a people-first approach. I believe that making an impact in the workplace can also have significant impact in people’s lives. My resume will always be different and my career path, not linear. But one thing always remains I always ask “What more can I do?” If there is an opening at your workplace, and you are looking for someone who will always ask “what more can I do?”, I am open and looking for my next opportunity Let’s make positive change happen, together #hiring #jobsearch #HR #humanresources #changemanagement #leadership #remotework #healthcare #technology #projectmanagement #employeeengagement #careers #leadershipdevelopment #peopleoperations #strategy #health #creative #impact #careerchange #hybridwork #OpenToWork #career #medicine #volunteer #film #photography #newyorkcity #canada #montreal #bilingual #documentary #ukraine #kyiv #Agile

Players in the creative industry should consider hiring veteran photographers and videographers because of their extensive experience and refined skills. These professionals bring a wealth of knowledge, having honed their craft over many years, which enables them to capture moments with precision and creativity that newer talent may lack. Their familiarity with various environments, equipment, and unpredictable situations allows them to adapt quickly and consistently deliver high-quality results. Additionally, their deep understanding of storytelling through visuals can enhance a project’s impact, making them invaluable assets in a competitive, content-driven market.

I shot Ruben as part of a recurring corporate assignment when I shoot new hires for the company website. After we had that shot in the books, we decided to go a little creative and take a shot more in my 'men's style'. I think it came out great, what do you think? #shizzlemedo #portfolio #headshotphotographer #headshots #headshotcrew #profielfoto #zakelijkportret #headshot #mauricejager #personalbranding #personalbrandingvoorfotografen #personalbrandingforphotographers
