When consumers consciously buy organic eggs, they assume that they are sustainable, too. To underpin this idea, Noble Foods Purely Organic range applies for carbon-neutral status certified by the Carbon Trust. Organic layer farmers, Rob and Sally Nicholls, fully embrace the scheme as it makes sense on both the climate action and profitability fronts. It’s inspiring to connect the food system in a beneficial way. Especially when you can replace 1 pound of conventional flour in the food industry and save 3 square feet of farmland. Thank you, Allie Arnell at Upcycled Food Association for writing this article supporting the work of NETZRO, SBC and Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI). #ShopUP #UpcycledFood #Upcycled #spentgrain #sustainablefoodsystems #circularfoodeconomy https://lnkd.in/gWeikjQV

This September, we released The Future Of Organic Fruit & Veg 2024 report. It’s filled with contributions from our organic growers, 1,000 surveyed consumers and 121 industry experts. We also called on the expertise of amazing food pioneers like River Cottage HQ’s Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, experts at the Soil Association, Ben Andrews from Broadward Hall Farm, Daniella Voisey CMgr MCMI from Isle of Wight Tomatoes | B Corp™. In our report, we’ve explored which organic fruit & veg is on the rise, what are growers are doing to adapt to climate change and so much more. We’ve also explored what it means to offer fair pay for farmers. We found 84% of shoppers believe supermarkets and the government should be doing more to make organic farming financially viable. Well so do we. It’s why we’ve always committed to paying our farmers fairly – a value we’ve stood by since 1988. 🥗 Embracing the Law of the Harvest in the Fresh Produce Industry 🌾 "The law of the harvest is to reap more than you sow. Sow an act, you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a destiny." - James Allen The fresh produce industry is a prime example of the law of the harvest in action. Every seed planted represents an act, a small but crucial step in the cycle of growth. With careful cultivation and nurturing, these seeds develop into habits of sustainable farming practices, ensuring quality and yield. Moving along the supply chain, these habits shape the character of our industry - one built on dedication, innovation, and resilience. From the hard work of farmers to the precision of distribution networks, every stakeholder contributes to the intricate part of our industry. Ultimately, as we harvest the fruits of our labor, we witness the unfolding of destiny - a culmination of collective efforts spanning the supply chain. Let's sow with intention, nurture with purpose, and reap with gratitude, knowing that each stage in the process contributes to a prosperous future for the fresh produce industry. Join me in embracing the law of the harvest this Friday for a dose of motivation! 🥗 💼 #FreshProduce #SupplyChainExcellence #MotivationFriday #produceindustry #producelife #eatfresh #freshproduce #wholesaledistribution #eatyourveggies #freshfood #organics #retailindustry #grocerystores #fruitsandvegetables #thankafarmer #rosstheproduceboss #organics #distribution #food #produce #fruits #veggies #lovewhatyoudo #freshfruits #freshvegetables #eathealthy #groceryretail #foodbusiness

Food security means having regular access to enough safe and healthy food. It's a big problem worldwide. With more people, climate change, and fewer natural resources, using farming methods like organic farming can help solve this issue. Organic farming helps protect the environment, makes the soil better, and supports long-lasting food systems, which can lead to steady food supplies in the future. -- https://lnkd.in/dnqzp9Nn -- #FoodSecurity #OrganicFarming #SustainableAgriculture #HealthyFood #ClimateChangeSolutions #SoilHealth #EnvironmentalProtection #FutureFarming #GlobalFoodCrisis #SustainableLiving --

Okay, where do you start? Grass-fed or grass-finished or both, pasture raised, certified organic, free-range, "diets" to choose, gluten to add, gluten to remove, food dyes to notice and eliminate, etc., etc.? Yikes! Do you like staying informed, educated, knowledgeable, particularly about our food system, our industrial food system in the U.S.? I mean who doesn't think about being informed about the food industrial system? Okay, a small question, what's the commonality here, the similarities with Live Nation i.e. Swifties, regenerative farming, small farmers with grass fed, grass finished meat? (vegan, vegetarian, meat-eater, non-meat eater--no, not actually making that connection) But am talking about questions that have been raised about trusts i.e. anti-trusts, monopolies, and how do we regulate? Have you ever met someone who has the gift of being completely at ease with public speaking, who is engaging, informed and has a real knack/skill in getting facts and figures across in a natural, fun, highly engrossing way...Have I peaked your interest? Want to delve a little deeper into: to regulate or to not regulate from the perspective of a regenerative farmer?: 👉 Check out YouTube, titled: Joel Salatin: Opening Testimony at the Congressional Judiciary Committee Beyond Labels Podcast Clips, June 16, 2023. a little taste..."In 1906, when Upton Sinclair wrote The Jungle, 7 large companies controlled half the nation's meat processing capacity. After a century of government intervention, four now control almost 85%..." 🤔 😮
