GreenRE has recently launched a new line of certification criteria for existing non-residential buildings across the country, such as hotels, offices, malls, schools and healthcare facilities. The certification criteria includes the thermal performance of the building envelope, natural and mechanical ventilation, application of renewable energy, and other energy-efficient practices and features. According to GreenRE Chairman Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar Mohamed Mansor, "Buildings that successfully obtain the certificate will be eligible for the Energy Commission’s building energy label and investment tax allowance scheme administered by the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation.” 💬 Speak to nicchin@greenquarter.biz for more information. 🌐 Visit us at https://lnkd.in/gnWgg7yp #builtenvironment #zerocarbonemission #zerocarbon #SustainableSuccess #SustainableFramework #SustainableFuture #Sustainability #ImpactingLives #EnhancingLives #ZeroCarbonFuture

This initiative is part of a broader effort, with the Council already securing £4.8 million from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme Phase 3c, aimed at transitioning nine buildings to low-carbon technologies. With a goal of achieving net zero by 2030, the Council is focusing on reducing energy consumption and emissions by enhancing building efficiency and incorporating renewable energy sources. Cllr Phillip Jackson emphasises that this funding is crucial for reducing environmental impact and operational costs, ultimately benefiting taxpayers. Salix’s Christopher Masters commends the Council’s commitment, noting that these efforts lay a solid foundation for their net zero journey. #renewables #environmentalhealth #sustainablesolutions #cleanenvironment #sustainability #environmental #sustainableenergy #carbonemissions Click the link below to read more and follow Lincolnshire In Focus for more regional updates. https://lnkd.in/exYbHbP8

Building on their collaboration in Finland and Sweden, where over 4,000 water meters have been integrated between Smartvatten's solutions and EG's platforms, the companies are now expanding their collaboration to all Nordic markets. This strategic expansion will benefit both existing and new customers in the real estate market by streamlining water management operations and enhancing sustainability efforts. Water has become crucial to sustainable development goals. Rising prices and the need for actionable insights drive efforts to tackle water-related challenges. According to the Annual Water Report by Smartvatten, over half of residential houses and one-third of commercial buildings experienced monthly leaks, with commercial leaks 3.4 times larger. Water prices have increased by three to eight percent, and in some parts of Europe by over 20 percent. These hikes are driven by water scarcity and aging infrastructure, posing challenges for households and utilities. The partnership between the two companies will enable EG customers to optimize water usage and reduce costs in their real estate investments. With the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, partnerships like these play a crucial role for real estate management companies which are expected to monitor their portfolio’s water use. "With the addition of Smartvatten's technology, EG customers are offered a way to add advanced water monitoring through a scalable, plug-and-play solution," said Karl Jepsson, Chief Product & Strategy officer at Smartvatten. "This partnership enables us to offer the most advanced water data insights available, helping customers comply with ESG standards like the European Commission’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, BREEAM Official, and GRESB." I've been lucky to be part of this partnership from the beginning, highlighting the importance of sustainability work beyond just collecting data. It is just so important to not treat data as new oil. It's crucial to share data and transform it into valuable information to drive impactful results (=get shit done). #Sustainability #Ecosystems #Partnership
