This initiative is part of a broader effort, with the Council already securing £4.8 million from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme Phase 3c, aimed at transitioning nine buildings to low-carbon technologies. With a goal of achieving net zero by 2030, the Council is focusing on reducing energy consumption and emissions by enhancing building efficiency and incorporating renewable energy sources. Cllr Phillip Jackson emphasises that this funding is crucial for reducing environmental impact and operational costs, ultimately benefiting taxpayers. Salix’s Christopher Masters commends the Council’s commitment, noting that these efforts lay a solid foundation for their net zero journey. #renewables #environmentalhealth #sustainablesolutions #cleanenvironment #sustainability #environmental #sustainableenergy #carbonemissions Click the link below to read more and follow Lincolnshire In Focus for more regional updates. https://lnkd.in/exYbHbP8

GreenRE has recently launched a new line of certification criteria for existing non-residential buildings across the country, such as hotels, offices, malls, schools and healthcare facilities. The certification criteria includes the thermal performance of the building envelope, natural and mechanical ventilation, application of renewable energy, and other energy-efficient practices and features. According to GreenRE Chairman Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar Mohamed Mansor, "Buildings that successfully obtain the certificate will be eligible for the Energy Commission’s building energy label and investment tax allowance scheme administered by the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation.” 💬 Speak to nicchin@greenquarter.biz for more information. 🌐 Visit us at https://lnkd.in/gnWgg7yp #builtenvironment #zerocarbonemission #zerocarbon #SustainableSuccess #SustainableFramework #SustainableFuture #Sustainability #ImpactingLives #EnhancingLives #ZeroCarbonFuture

Sustainability is our everyday ☀ 🚰 🌳 Every day, we recognise the global importance of environmental protection and on Wednesday, 5 June acknowledge it is #WorldEnvironmentDay. At Westlink M7, we take meaningful steps and actions to be self-sufficient, reduce our consumption of water and energy, and look after the lands we are on. Did you know at Westlink M7 and the Eastern Creek Control Centre in Sydney's West: - we have 150,000 litre rain water storage capacity - we use water from the rain water tanks to flush toilets - we have 50kW Solar - we have reduced our electricity use by over 35% through lighting upgrades - we utilise renewable electricity at a target of 100% - we sponsor and support Greater Sydney Landcare in the Cumberland Plain Restoration Project. We actively conserve, reduce, restore, and save, for a thriving planet! #WestlinkM7 #environment #protecttheplanet #renewables #sustainability

🎉 World Green Building Week is in full swing! One of the key pillars of the campaign this year is an urgent push to #Electrify the built environment. ⚡Energy reduction is a key part of a sustainable future. Buildings account for 37% of global energy-related carbon emissions. To reduce this, we need to seek out low-carbon options for how we both build and operate our buildings and eliminate the use of fossil fuels across their whole life cycle. 📋UKGBC’s work on Renewable Energy Procurement seeks to empower stakeholders tasked with procuring energy in the built environment to do so in a way that enables them to realise their climate ambition, while supporting the continued decarbonisation of the electricity supply sector. 🖱Explore our report here and learn more about how we're #BuildingTheTransition: https://lnkd.in/eGkeJjct Learn more about World Green Building Council's WGBW here : https://lnkd.in/dN49h5TE
