I see some ways could include; access to capital; governance, advanced agric education, exposure into what can be possible for the agric sector in Africa.... and placing young and well informed talents with agric interest into the sector to unlock innovation. Standard Bank supports the Agric sector in the markets we operate in Africa.

#WorldCoconutDay reminds us of the importance of a very nutritious and versatile fruit. Its importance exceeds agriculture, civil engineering to national economics because every aspect of it - exocarp, mesocarp, and endocarp are verifiable ingredient for financial gain. This year, the focus is on circular economy. Emphasizing more the need for consumers not to dispose but channel the seemly waste into a productive resource. Accordingly, for wastrepeneurs to emerge in the sector, market themselves effectively and leverage on its huge benefits to our ecosystem. As well as, communities in the tropics to engage in its restoration as an economic crop for job creation and investment destination. In Nigeria, (Nigerian Institute For Oil Palm Research - @nifor) the agency responsible for coconut research should do more to lobby state governments and LGAs to invest in it. Lets click our glasses and eat a very crunchy, tasty and sweet coconuts. #HappyCoconutDay
