Our partner from Romania - ASOCIATIA TEHNOPOL GALATI (ATG) - participated in the 19th International Conference on European Integration - Realities and Perspectives earlier this year. 🗣 The Conference provides a forum for exchanging ideas, research outcomes, business cases, and technical achievements. During the conference, Galati Tehnopol Association presented the most important aspects of the project 🌳"UrBan hEat islands REsilience, prepAreDness and mitigation strategy - Be Ready" 🌳 financed by the Interreg Danube Region program. 🌍✨ Exciting news from Reykjavik! ✈️ We’re thrilled to share highlights from our recent study visit to Reykjavik, part of the 'Synergies for Greener European Horizons' project 🌱. This collaborative initiative between Romania, Norway, and Iceland aims to strengthen cooperation in driving the green transition forward. 🔗 Who’s involved? Project Promoter: CLUSTERO (Romanian Cluster Association) 🇷🇴 Project Partners: Innovation Performance AS 🇳🇴 & RANNIS (Icelandic Centre for Research) 🇮🇸 Together, we are exploring innovative ways to leverage European and bilateral support mechanisms to build a sustainable future 🔄. One of the most inspiring moments of our visit was at HS Orka 💡, where we learned how Iceland harnesses geothermal energy 🌋. Iceland is a shining example of turning geographical challenges into opportunities, using its natural resources to produce clean energy while embracing a circular economy ♻️. Industries like e-fuels, aquaculture, and food production are interconnected, creating powerful synergies. 💡 What's next? Funded by the EEA and Norway Grants (2014-2021) through the Programme Fund for Bilateral Relations – SMEs Growth Romania, this project provides an incredible platform to exchange knowledge on green solutions. We are excited to apply Iceland’s innovative approach in Romania and Norway through cluster-based collaboration 🌍💼. 🏘 The Local Urban Plans will shape the future of most Greek municipalities for decades to come. 🌎 🌱 CIVINET Greece-Cyprus is proud to be involved in three of these (Argos-Mycenae, Chalkida-Lelantio, and Fyli), with our team leader serving as the Sustainable Mobility Expert, official advisor to the consortium, a collaboration between Doxiadis and Nikos Stappas offices. 👩🏫 To this end, we participated in the highly successful Phase A public consultation events on September 11th and 13th, held in Chalkida and Argos, respectively. This weekend, our partner VIDA LÁCTEA will surprise us with an exceptional event: its second Local Creative Jam. This meeting promises to be a milestone in the calendar of young people and lovers of innovation and creativity. 🇪🇺 The sixth transnational meeting of our network is currently taking place in Nagykallo, a town in eastern Hungary.
