On this solemn day, we pause to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. It was a day that forever changed our nation, a day marked by unimaginable tragedy and profound heroism. We remember the innocent victims who perished in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. Each life lost was a beloved family member, friend, and colleague, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. We also honor the first responders—firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and countless others—who ran towards danger without hesitation, saving many lives at the cost of their own. In the aftermath, our nation faced a long and arduous journey of recovery. The physical scars on our cities were matched by the emotional wounds in our hearts. Yet, through the rubble and grief, we witnessed incredible acts of kindness, unity, and resilience. Communities came together, strangers supported one another, and the spirit of America shone brightly. Today, as we reflect on the events of 9/11, it is crucial that we remember and honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who were lost and those who fought to save others. This day serves as a reminder of the strength and unity that define us as a nation. We stand tall, united in our resolve to never forget the lessons of that day. Share in the comments what you remember about that day? Where were you on that September day? #911memorial #heros #neverforget #September11

We're ecstatic with how well our fundraising efforts are going for "In the Shadows of Service" so far! 🎉 But we still have a long way to go! If you're not sure what I'm talking about, the time has come for the modern military spouses' story to be told - in a documentary film. And I wouldn't feel right just creating this film without doing the proper legwork. Rest assured that our team will be doing a few round table discussions with seasoned spouses alongside some new spouses to get the full story. We'll be talking to ALL branches of the military, officer spouses/enlisted spouses, male/female, etc. We will have a well-rounded discussion on the topics that need more awareness. Our plan is to illuminate the lives of modern military spouses, honoring their resilience and strength as they navigate frequent relocations, deployments, and the delicate balance of career and family responsibilities. By backing our Kickstarter campaign, you'll contribute to covering pre-production expenses, including research, marketing, location scouting, and more. Your support will amplify the voices of military spouses and advocate for their well-being. Head over to our Kickstarter page linked below to discover more, pledge your support, and spread the word about this campaign to your networks. Every $1 helps! Together, we can bring these overlooked stories to light and foster positive change. https://lnkd.in/eyySUxaZ #KickstarterCampaign #DocumentaryFilm #MilitarySpouseLife #SocialImpact #IntheShadowsofService #militaryspouseappreciationmonth

23 years. For those of us old enough to remember, that day - 9/11/2001 - will be forever etched into the annals of our minds' eyes. For those of us who aren’t…youth who have been old enough to serve in our military for several years now, even…9/11 can appear like just another paragraph in history books. That’s why storytelling is so VERY important. When we tell our stories, we peel the black and white facts off the page and infuse those experiences with emotion and color. When we tell our stories, we are able to pull up a chair for someone who “doesn’t get it,” who has been separated from that experience or event by time or circumstance and close the gap of true understanding. When you watch this tribute to “The heroes of the forgotten maritime rescue mission” of 9/11, you hear…and experience for yourselves…the stories of these brave souls who were there, navigating the terror-filled Manhattan waters through smoke and debris in order to ferry as many lives as possible out of a crumbling city skyline. https://lnkd.in/eQ8353sN Theirs are by no means the only portraits of heroism from that day, and we honor both the told and untold stories of this tragedy of our nation. We mourn the lost and those who continue to be devastated or afflicted by the effects of the events on and connected with September 11th. But we hope that these captains' experiences - shared as their own stories, in their voices - help eliminate any distance these 23 years have created and, instead, allow you to pull up a chair and sit beside these heroic mariners and all of your fellow citizens as you share in the storytelling of our people.🕯️🇺🇸 🔵For stories of the “call to service” impact 9/11 had, you can read this USO article, “Why 9/11 Inspired These Service Members to Join the Military,” at: https://lnkd.in/ebPUbPZ2 #September11th #PatriotDay #NationalDayofServiceandRemembrance #NeverForget

On September 11, 2001, the world changed in an instant. The tragic events of that day—when terrorists hijacked four planes, leading to the collapse of the Twin Towers and significant damage to the Pentagon—forever altered the course of history. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost, and countless others were affected in ways that continue to resonate today. As we reflect on this somber anniversary, it’s important to remember the resilience and strength that emerged in the face of adversity. The bravery of first responders, the solidarity of communities, and the unity of a nation serve as powerful reminders of our collective spirit. Today, we honor the victims, their families, and the heroes who risked everything to help. It’s a time to reflect on the values of courage, compassion, and solidarity that define us. Let us also renew our commitment to building a world where such tragedies are never repeated, and where empathy and understanding guide our actions. In memory of those lost and in tribute to those who continue to inspire us, let us come together, not only to remember but to act with kindness and unity. #NeverForget #911Rememberance #UnityAndStrength

I just came back from Jordan Cooper's funeral. He was a lone soldier from Pennsylvania. He came to Israel to serve in the military in 2018 and returned home to the US when it was over but on October 7, he flew to Israel to fight alongside his reserve unit. Jordan didn't die on the battlefield. Deathly allergic to nuts, he died after eating a piece of halva that contained them. I saw a post making the rounds asking the public to come to the funeral, because many family members couldn't make it due to cancelled transatlantic flights. We had just finished Tisha B'av and a 25 hour fast but I decided to go. I was nervous maybe people wouldn't -- especially given that he wasn't killed by our enemies. Hah. Apparently several thousand others thought the same. I walked all around the funeral to see if I could get closer to the eulogisers but not a chance, every square inch was covered. And of the few people I asked, none of them said they knew him personally. But bar none, they said he was family nonetheless. מי כעמך ישראל

Trigger Warning: This video discusses themes of domestic abuse which may be distressing for some viewers. People sometimes associate whiteboard videos with cartoons and lighter topics. Here’s an example of a video we produced with QuickSeries Publishing Inc. for the Fort Wainwright Army base in Alaska. It covers a much heavier topic. Our objective for the video was to connect with the community and help them recognize the warning signs of domestic abuse and seek help. This wasn't an easy video to work on, but I'm very proud of it. I hope it will make a difference in the life of someone who needs help. If you can, please share. 💜 #Communication #GovernmentCommunication #DomesticAbuse
