The slab is almost complete at Sandy Run Industrial Park! Construction is progressing at Red Rock Developments second speculative industrial building at the Sandy Run Industrial Park, on schedule for a Q4 2024 delivery. Erection of the wall panels, additional site preparations, utility installations and the integration of infrastructure elements are coming soon. This ±519,792 SF speculative building can be expandable up to ±1,161,888 SF but can also be configured to accommodate two tenants with ±519,792 SF requirements (alternative option A) or two tenants with ±198,693 SF requirements and one tenant with a ±519,792 SF requirement (alternative option B). Did you know Alliance and South Dallas have seen more industrial space added since 2020 than most other metropolitan areas have in the last decade? This record-shattering construction cycle in DFW’s outfield might be coming to a close, as recent figures suggest developers are beginning to look inwards once again as price differences erode. Outfield activity peaked in early 2023, consisting of nearly 83% of all ongoing industrial construction at the time. Since then, the spread has been shrinking as developers move forward with plans to bring new space to key infield locations like D/FW Airport or the Eastern Lonestar Turnpike. Newly christened projects, like the Shady Grove Logistics Crossing in Grand Prairie, show an appetite for new infield industrial space returning to the market. Green light for final key structures to bring HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd into Birmingham 🚅🟢 The construction of two new viaducts to bring HS2 into Birmingham has been approved by local councils, marking a significant milestone for the project. These represent two of the eight ‘key design elements’ (KDEs) on the West Midlands leg of HS2. All eight KDEs are structures which are identified as being significant because of their size, proximity to communities, or location within sensitive areas. The first is the River Blythe Viaduct, which has received planning approval from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. A 475-metre low-lying structure just south of the new HS2 Interchange Station in Solihull, it’s designed to skim the flat, agricultural landscape as it crosses the River Blythe, the floodplain and Meriden Road near Hampton in Arden.
