We tried something new this time in our Pune DeTour, and it turned out to be an incredible experience! The workshop followed a hands-on, collaborative format where participants worked in teams to brainstorm strategies, define activities, and allocate budgets for key PLG motions This was led by Tanmay Ratnaparkhe, who introduced the $1𝐌 𝐏𝐋𝐆 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, breaking it down into an easy-to-follow format. This framework focused on three critical PLG motions: 𝐀𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Participants were divided into three teams—a diverse mix of 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐆𝐓𝐌 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬—each guided by a ThriveStack member. This setup fostered rich, cross-functional collaboration. Over 30 minutes, the teams brainstormed strategies, outlined activities, and allocated budgets for each stage. Once the brainstorming session wrapped up, team leaders presented their strategies to the larger group. This sparked lively discussions and insightful feedback on optimizing approaches, creating a collaborative and learning-focused environment. To wrap up, Ajay Singh from ThriveStack shared an ideal PLG strategy scenario, highlighting the key aspects to prioritize while planning. His insights provided valuable clarity and focus, leaving participants with actionable takeaways and fresh perspectives on PLG. It turns out PLG isn't a magic bullet, but there are ways to assess its viability. The key factors to consider are your product's user-friendliness and the clarity of its value proposition. ❓𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗣𝗟𝗚 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁? The discussion identified key analytical metrics that can help founders track success or failure. This is crucial for running experiments with confidence. ❓𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗟𝗚 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲? A clear roadmap for running PLG experiments, analyzing the data, and then iterating based on findings emerged as another key takeaway. ❓𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗟𝗚? Allocating the right resources for PLG initiatives was a significant discussion point. We explored effective strategies for founders to staff their PLG teams and ensure they have the bandwidth to make it work. ❓𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗟𝗚 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗟𝗚 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆? We explored how PLG and SLG can actually complement each other for a well-rounded growth strategy. Additionally, we discussed how some founders are finding success with a hybrid PLG + SLG approach. Last week was something special. 💝 My team, spread out across India, came together at our Hyderabad office. It’s one thing to collaborate online, but seeing everyone in person was a reminder of just how much we can achieve when we’re together. We jumped right into a 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻, full of fresh ideas and teamwork. The 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗥 session showed us new ways AI can help in our daily work. The 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 training gave us valuable insights into each other's strengths, and the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 session brought us closer as a team. We ended the week on a high note, dancing, laughing, and even playing golf. It wasn’t just fun - it was a celebration of what we’ve built together. Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve done so far. With this amazing team, I know we’re on track for 10X growth and beyond at Narwal. ### Do You Want to Improve or Redesign? The decision to improve or redesign a process is critical in driving sustainable growth and achieving organizational objectives. Here's how to determine when to improve or redesign and the factors to consider: ## Improvement vs. Redesign: Key Considerations # When to Use Incremental Improvement Stable Process: The process is functional but requires optimization to meet Critical Customer Requirements (CCRs) or Critical to Process (CTPs). Low Entitlement Level: Incremental changes can yield measurable results without significant overhaul. Efficiency Gains: Small process adjustments improve efficiency, reduce waste, or enhance quality. # When to Opt for Redesign (Creation Process) 1. Process Absence: No formalized process exists for the given function or goal. 2. New Product/Service: Introduction of a new offering requires a completely new process design. 3. Process Fragmentation: Multiple, inconsistent versions of the process are in use, leading to inefficiencies. 4. Entitlement Reached: Incremental changes are insufficient to achieve desired outcomes, as the process is at its performance limits. 5. Process Failure: The process consistently fails to meet CCRs or CTPs, requiring a fundamental redesign. 6. IT Implementation: Technology-driven transformations necessitate process re-engineering to align with new capabilities. # Steps to Define and Transition Analyze Opportunities Identify whether the current process can achieve the set goals. Assess if the process is operating at its maximum potential or "entitlement." Pinpoint whether existing challenges stem from fundamental flaws or inefficiencies. # Define Opportunities Review the charter and scope outlined for the improvement initiative. Build a robust project plan based on the analysis and findings. Determine whether to enhance the process or transition to creation for a redesign. # Guiding Questions to Decide Does the process meet CCRs or CTPs consistently? Are there signs of diminishing returns despite continuous improvements? Are multiple process versions causing inefficiencies or inconsistencies? Will technological changes fundamentally alter the process flow? By systematically analyzing opportunities and defining objectives, teams can make informed decisions about whether to pursue incremental improvements or transition to redesign. Both approaches, when aligned with business goals, foster continuous improvement and sustainable success. *If you want to know more contact* Sambhaji Satpute, Director & Business Coach. When there is value created & value generated, members come together no matter what. Folks flew in from Bangalore and Delhi, while some drove from Pune to Mumbai, to attend the Customer Success in October 2024, the first one. Thanks to Allin1place, this saga will continue. When you don’t find something? Create One. Will it work, if the challenge is big enough? It will work. How do we know? Experiment & Experience. Bhavika, who is passionate about Customer Success, was part of a couple of communities while pursuing her Master's in the US. When she returned to India, she couldn’t find anything similar, so she started Allin1Place, a #community for Customer Success professionals where they share knowledge, exchange notes, post job openings, ask for referrals, and so much more. It took #seeding #nurturing #engaging #moderating and creating such awesome value that members derived value. So when the time came to unite for the first Customer Success Summit, volunteers volunteered for the organizing team. Speakers committed their time on a Sunday to share learnings. Members flew in for a day from different cities to participate. Batch size was 50, Good number to experiment with… The best piece was the Case Study towards the end of the summit, the members were put in teams and scrambled to solve the challenge. Akanksha recorded the entire summit for her YouTube channel. Raja Rajeshwari Manvi volunteered to meet new folks. Bhavya joined in since it was Customer Success & she has built her career in CX to explore. Vineet (me) joined in towards the end of the summit to observe what was going on and most importantly, to meet Bhavika and celebrate the first successful completion of an event that will become a property. Inquiries have started to know when such summits are occurring in other cities. #VinEatRepeat Allin1Place That’s what is #community ♥️ Still wondering whether to invest in and nurture the community to enable community-led growth. The answer is always Yes. Signing Off on Friday… Do share your thoughts in the comment section about the experience of being part of the community, running a community, or anything that comes to your mind for business growth.

One of the most important aspects of product management - Design Thinking! It's a framework which keeps customers at the centre and makes product managers to be convergent and divergent while asking questions, thinking through the information, collating insights, defining roadmap/scope, implementing and testing/validating the functionality. It's more about the customer centricity, end to end user experience and less about the designs. Design is one of the elements of this entire process. Looking forward to meeting you all!

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗟𝗧 Last week, when our 𝗖𝗘𝗢 and the 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 visited Pune, I had the opportunity to present our department, 𝗠𝘆𝗤𝘂𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 India. It was my first time delivering a presentation to such an esteemed audience. Here’s how I prepared and approached this challenge: 𝟭. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 I took time to understand what the CEO and ELT care about. This helped me focus my presentation on our department's impact and how we align with the company’s goals. 𝟮. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 I organized my presentation into different sections: How we built our team from 0 to 70 employees, our achievements over the past 2 years, the challenges we faced and how we overcame them. This made it easy for everyone to follow and understand our story. 𝟯. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 To keep things engaging, I included visuals like charts and graphs. This helped simplify complex data and made my points clearer. 𝟰. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 Practicing not only built my confidence but also helped me anticipate questions. 𝟱. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗨𝗽 After the presentation, I followed up with attendees to gather their thoughts and suggestions. This feedback is crucial for me and my teams growth and improvement. In the end, preparation is key and it’s okay to be nervous. Every experience helps us grow and I am grateful for the opportunity to present to our leadership team. I hope my experience can help others facing similar situations. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴!
