Our colleague Txema Avelino was at LPG Week (World Liquid Gas Association) in Cape Town, South Africa, a few days ago. Txema is an expert in gas engines and has extensive vision and experience in energy markets. He was invited to participate in the LPG week in South Africa in the session "Powering Progress - LPG for prime & back-up power – clean, easy, affordable". It was very interesting to show the experience and references of Guascor Energy worldwide working on LPG (more than 60 units in 7 different countries). In South Africa, the use of LPG for energy applications (electricity and cogeneration) is expected to increase significantly and therefore Louis Moll from Decentral Energy, our distributor in South Africa, was also in attendance to talk about the advantages and challenges of using propane gensets in the country. #WeAreGuascor

I had a great panel discussion with Szabolcs I. Ferencz, Gergely Szabó, Akos Kriston and Toth Borbala last week about the future of gas markets in Hungary and in the broader region. We, as infrastructure and financial service providers will have to focus on creating an even more efficient platform for trading, in order to support market participants to benefit from what a reshaping trading environment has to offer.
Dániel Garai, CEO of CEEGEX, recently participated in the annual gas market review event of REKK Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research. The discussion focused on the potential market developments in the region. Notably, the Hungarian natural gas exchange is experiencing record volumes, which might indicate an ongoing market change. Are we whitnessing a fundamental change in the regional natural gas landscape? As the panelists added, the further development of the Hungarian natural gas hub #MGP is well supported by the developments and infrastructure of FGSZ Földgázszállító Zrt. Let's continue to shape the future of the energy industry together! #CEEGEX #GasMarket #RegionalEnergy #Innovation

NIPCO to Launch CNG Mobile Refuelling Unit in Partnership with Presidential CNG Initiative. Leading energy company, NIPCO Gas Limited in partnership with the PCNGI - Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative will soon roll out a compact, all-in-one CNG Mobile Refuelling Unit to complement traditional refuelling stations. Strategically placed for convenience, each unit can dispense 400 SCM of CNG per hour, theoretically refuelling up to 40 vehicles within that time. Each unit is also equipped with an inbuilt compressor, generator, and dispenser. Why This Matters Nigeria is on track to convert 100,000 vehicles to CNG by the end of 2024, creating a strong demand for accessible refuelling options. These mobile refuelling units will expand CNG availability across commercial centres, supporting the existing network and enhancing convenience for CNG vehicle owners. #ALDG #SwitchtoCNG #CNG #Nigeria #energy #gasutilisation #oilandgas

Kinetiko is advancing its shallow #conventionalgas projects in South Africa, focusing on reducing the country’s reliance on #coal and #importedenergy. The company's flagship #MpumalangaProject is set to deliver significant gas volumes to support South Africa’s #energytransition to cleaner and more reliable sources. Over the past year, Kinetiko has completed drilling and coring campaigns in blocks ER272 and ER270, consistently striking #gas. This has resulted in a 2C contingent gas resource of 6 TCF and a maiden 2P gas reserve of 6.4 BCF, representing only a small portion of the company's overall acreage. The upcoming five-well production test program, scheduled for Q4 next year, will provide crucial data to refine production models and secure stable gas flow rates for commercial... It is unlikely that developers will invest in new “pure” LNG regasification projects anymore, with the inclusion of a green gas component crucial for their progress, an official at Belgian gas infrastructure company Fluxys tells Energy Intelligence. New LNG import infrastructure projects will need to “at least include synthetic methane as a commercial option” or be part of large industrial cluster to ship carbon dioxide for further use or bring in ammonia to produce hydrogen, Fluxys’ Chief Commercial Officer, Arno Bux, said in an interview on the sidelines of the E-World energy trade fair in Essen, Germany. “The multimolecule aspect will be an important part of the future developments,” he noted.
