Thinking big starts with recognizing what we have to be grateful for - - the everyday, small things that we usually take for granted - the events of our day that go well, and even those that don't go as planned - the people in our lives, just for being themselves and the ways they help us There's a lot more to be grateful for too, but this is a great place to start. In this short clip I talk about a daily habit that helps us recognize things and people in our day that bring is small and sometimes big blessings. Last week when I was invited for the Spotify event it helped me to understand a complex human nature. We all have been fans of people who we admire the most and take inspiration from them. I was lucky to see/meet/greet highly successful people from the musical and podcasting industry. 👉 When you are an outsider and get a moment to see or meet them, it’s a different feeling. 🔺You are constantly focusing on their every move. 🔺You follow their style statement. 🔺You follow their process which made them successful. 🔺You try to become one of them. But….. 👉 When you are one amongst them, you see yourself differently. ✅ You feel proud of your efforts. ✅ You get a sense of feeling that you exist there because you have been doing something good. ✅ You have your own audience, community & friends in the industry. ✅ You are leading with an example to create more opportunities. ✅ You don’t get intimidated by the presence of big names because you are considering to be one amongst them. Learn to create a life for yourself where you will feel proud of your own journey. Humans are the same, we define their character through their journey and achievements. #glittersoflife #success #lifelessons #character #feelings #humanpsychology

This is one of my all time favourite episodes of Freakonomics Radio. One of my favourite podcast episodes ever across all the shows I have had on my playlist over the years. Yes - it’s from 2017, it’s a timeless episode. The concept of tailwinds and headwinds is so elegant. Helping to understand why some people don’t see, and can’t acknowledge the many forms of privilege that give them or others a head start in life. Truly, this episode is one of those things that changed some of my perspectives in 30 mins. If you’re wondering about the mechanics of gratitude because you think it’s all a bit too “woo-woo” —> this episode will explain it to you in way that doesn’t involve your chakras , your aura, your third eye, gem stones or a message from your grandmother. https://lnkd.in/gsi-Cbfm

How can you support independent media? In today’s somewhat volatile and (let's be honest) "bought out" digital landscape, independent media is more important than ever. But independent creators often struggle to stay afloat. Here are some meaningful ways you can support the creators you love: 💵 Subscribe and Donate: Subscribe to your favorite podcasts or media outlets. Many offer supporter programs—like Spotify’s monthly donation feature—where your small monthly contributions can make a big impact. 👋 Engage with Content: Like, share, and comment on the content you enjoy. Your engagement not only boosts visibility but also shows creators that their work resonates with you. 📣 Spread the Word: Share your favorite podcast or independent media platform with friends and family. Word-of-mouth is a powerful tool for helping creators grow their audience, and is often the number one way to help a podcast grow. ✍ Provide Feedback: Let creators know what you love about their work AND leave reviews. Your feedback can guide their content and inspire new ideas. By taking these small steps, you can play a crucial role in supporting independent media and ensuring diverse voices continue to thrive. 👉 If you’re interested in helping me keep the Outdoor Minimalist podcast going, consider subscribing to the Spotify Supporter Program. "The Creator Process" has finally arrived! 🎙️ This has been in the making for the last couple of months but it’s also a reminder of how important it is to create something for myself. I'm thrilled to share this new podcast series exploring the fascinating world of the creator economy. In my quest to understand this space and the importance of mental wellness for creators, I'll be speaking with amazing individuals and tapping into their invaluable insights. For the inaugural episode, I sit down with Dylan Huey, CEO of REACH - a thriving creator community for university students. Drawing from his multi-faceted experience, Dylan offers a truly eye-opening perspective on the current state of the creator economy and how to strike that crucial creator-life balance. As someone who could have benefited from these conversations when starting out, I'm on a mission to shed light on the backstage reality behind social media platforms and the struggles the creator ecosystem faces. Success and sustenance require a complex recipe that many creators only grasp mid-journey. I hope this series will speak to some of you in this space and inspire others to understand the growing creator industry. This is just the beginning! I can't wait to connect with more brilliant minds, delve into their creative processes, and share these deep dives. Stay tuned for more illuminating conversations on The Creator Process. Do download and follow on Spotify! https://lnkd.in/gZZhKg8j

Change is a journey we're all part of, and debates on the 'right' way to achieve it can sometimes divide us. I believe in inclusivity within the anti-racism movement. Whether you're working from within the system or advocating from the outside, your contribution is essential. From activists to bridge-builders, we need every changemaker. Let's focus on our collective impact and embrace every step towards change. It's not just about the 'how' but about supporting and connecting different approaches. For more insights, check out the Know Better, Do Better podcast episode with Marie Beecham, where she shares valuable knowledge and perspectives on this topic. #ChangeMakers #Inclusivity #AntiRacism #ImpactOverEgo

Let's get personal for a second... I finally fixed something on my podcast that's been bugging me. Ever notice that BOSS on Spotify was audio-only? That’s because I hadn’t figured out how to upload video to my RSS feed. But today, I dove in, Googled it, YouTubed it, and solved it. Now, you can not only listen to my interviews but watch them too! 🙌 Lululemon, Roblox, Forbes, Ad Council, and more… all these incredible episodes are now in full video on Spotify! 👀 But here’s where I need your help. I’ve got a BOSS website that’s underutilized, and I haven’t uploaded all my interviews to YouTube yet. I’m leaning into the creator economy, and I’m looking to amplify BOSS’s reach and growth across platforms. Who’s ready to spend a few minutes helping me scale BOSS on YouTube and my website? Let’s brainstorm and make this bigger together. Drop me a comment or shoot me a message! Also, a link to BOSS on Spotify will be in the comments.. ⬇️ #CreatorEconomy #ContentCreation #VideoContent #BOSS #linkedincreator
