After the bargains of Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes a day dedicated to charity, Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday is a day when people and organisations from all over the world come together to support the causes and communities that mean so much to us all. How can you provide that support? You could make a kind donation - did you know £35 could provide online support meetings for those in our community who rely on these sessions for emotional and practical assistance? £15 can also help fund support and information for a person impacted by conditions like GBS, CIDP, and other related Neuropathies. We understand money may be tight, especially if your work life or finances have been impacted by illness, cost of living, or the upcoming Christmas period, so we will also be sharing ways you can support us through challenges, advocacy, and work in later posts today. Am I the only one that thinks it’s odd: Giving Tuesday comes after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday? What’s left in the wallet when giving is last? This year, instead of “I Wanna get…”or getting first, would you think “They need a” or move tax-deductible giving higher on your list? FVACPP has survived for 25 years on year end giving, but this year we, (along with many other non-profits), are struggling to make ends meet, to serve you and yours. Would you consider your charitable gift higher on the year end list? See how different it feels. Advance Care Planning, it’s a gift to your loved ones. It’s thinking ahead for yourself and another’s peace of mind. Happier holidays. www.FVACPP.org/support

Social Value Opportunity for your business: A Good Thing (UK) matches donated items with suitable charities. Over the next few days, they are identifying specific needs from individual charities. If you can support these specifically, please get in touch. Don't pass by though, if (when) you have other items you no longer have use for, offer them to a good cause rather than send them to landfill.
🎅 🤶 Ho, ho, ho! The #seasonofgiving is in full swing! Throughout the first 12 days of December, we will share twelve of our wonderful charity partners' 'needs' to celebrate the launch of #charityneeds on the A Good Thing platform. 🎵 On the first day of A Good Thing's #charityneeds Christmas appeal, we'd love to find a match for Frank Charles Give A Gift Appeal! They need: 🎁 Clothes, laptops, mobile phones and children’s books. ▶️ Can you help? Respond here: https://lnkd.in/erPpRnJi LinkedIn friends, we would appreciate your support in spreading the word and helping us make a match! Helping others can be incredibly rewarding and can take many forms. Here are a few ways you can help others: Volunteer Your Time: Offer your skills and time to local charities, shelters, or community centers. Donate: Contribute money, food, clothing, or other goods to those in need. Support a Cause: Advocate for issues that are important to you, raising awareness and supporting related organizations. Offer Emotional Support: Be there for friends and family members, listen to their concerns, and provide encouragement. Share Knowledge: Help others learn by teaching skills or sharing information that can help them improve their lives. Random Acts of Kindness: Small gestures like paying for someone's coffee, helping a neighbor with chores, or simply offering a smile can make a big difference.#letsconnect

Give the Gift of Empowerment At Heartly House, we strive to empower survivors of power-based violence, many of whom leave harmful situations with few possessions. The ability to choose their own essentials, clothing, and gifts is a vital step toward reclaiming independence and dignity. Gift cards to Target and Walmart provide survivors the freedom to purchase items that truly meet their needs. Unlike physical donations, gift cards allow survivors to choose sizes, styles, and products that work best for them and their families. This freedom helps rebuild autonomy and restores a sense of control. How You Can Help: Donate a $25 or $50 gift card to help make the holidays brighter and more empowering for families in our community. Email alexa@heartlyhouse.org Donate online at www.heartlyhouse.org By giving the Gift of Empowerment, you’re not only spreading holiday cheer but also supporting survivors as they rebuild their lives with hope and resilience. #GiftOfEmpowerment #HolidayGiving #HeartlyHouse #FrederickCares #SupportSurvivors

Doing #GivingTuesday Right After a weekend of Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending, Giving Tuesday offers a chance to give back. It’s the perfect reminder to balance shopping for ourselves with helping those in need. If you’re donating today, start with a local charity. Look for organizations with transparent financials—websites like Charity Navigator can help you verify where your money goes. Smaller, local groups often have a big impact because they’re directly tied to your community’s needs. Every dollar matters more when it’s well-placed. Giving Tuesday is a great way to make your holiday spending more meaningful. Let me know in the comments which charities you love to support and follow for more financial tips! . . . . #GivingTuesday #SmartDonations #MistyLynch #CharityTips #FinancialLiteracy #BudgetingTips #WealthWithPurpose #HolidayGiving #DemystifyingMoney

Something to consider... Giving Tuesday is coming! I remember when I helped with my first Giving Tuesday and the STRESS. My second was a little more low key and the third I delegated. Many organizations have chosen to move away from the day after Cyber Monday to a day that makes more sense for their individual organizations. Just because the organizations you follow don't promote themselves on Giving Tuesday doesn't mean you cannot give to them on that day or promote them in your social feeds. Maybe take this Giving Tuesday to learn how to promote your favorite charity so you can help them more efficiently on their chosen giving day.
