The best way to evidence the effect of the cardiogenic oscillations in the scalars is to add the plethysmogram and correlate it to the alterations observed. In this vent (Hamilton C6) the plethysmogram is part of the feedback information used by the IntelliVent ASV algorythm to automatically adjust PEEP/FiO2. In this pic, the mode being is APVcmv (PC-CMVa). The goal of the post is to identify the cardiogenic oscillations and differentiate it from ineffective insp efforts.
