Violence in Haiti is dangerously affecting U.S. Aviation ⚠ . 3 different U.S. planes have been shot at servicing the the Port-au-Prince airport. First a Spirit plane yesterday where a cabin crew member was injured 🏥 . Then a JetBlue plane earlier today and an American Airlines plane this afternoon. Flights to Port-au-Prince have been suspended by JetBlue for the next 4 days. American Airlines has immediately suspended all flights to and from Haiti. It wouldn't shock me if all flights to Haiti from the U.S. completely stop for at least the next few days/ weeks. Is it possible that just U.S. airlines are being targeted? #immigration #globalmobility #pilots #aviation #haiti #jetblue #americanairlines #spiritairlines

In the aftermath of Iran’s missile attack on Israel, governments worldwide have issued travel warnings, urging citizens to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel to the affected regions. The missile strike, which targeted several cities in southern Israel, including Eilat, has heightened concerns about regional stability and the safety of travelers in the Middle East. The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and several European countries have issued advisories urging citizens to stay vigilant and monitor developments closely. The warnings highlight the potential risks of further escalation and advise against travel to areas within range of missile strikes or military conflict zones. Iran launched an attack on Israel heightening tensions further in a region already impacted by widespread cruise cancellations in the Red Sea. The UK Foreign Office issued an urgent travel warning for more than a dozen countries in the southern Mediterranean and Middle East region. ”There is rising tension between Iran and Israel. Any military action could escalate quickly and could pose risks for the wider region,” it stated. “If you are in the region, or considering travel to the region, monitor news updates and continue to check FCDO travel advice.” It includes several holiday destinations popular with Europeans. The travel warning covers Dubai, Morocco, Qatar, Egypt and Tunisia. Also included are Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Oman and Lebanon. The Foreign Office said a sudden terror attack was ‘likely’ and could be in areas frequented by tourists. Holidaymakers are advised to check the latest advice for the country they are planning to visit. In the United States, the State Department issued a Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory for Israel, citing the ongoing security situation and the risk of indiscriminate attacks. The advisory also extends to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, where heightened tensions could pose additional risks to travelers. Similarly, Canada’s government issued a travel advisory advising citizens to exercise a high degree of caution when traveling to Israel and the West Bank, citing the risk of rocket attacks and other forms of violence. The advisory also cautioned against non-essential travel to border areas with Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip. Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) issued a similar advisory, warning citizens to reconsider their need to travel to Israel, particularly in areas affected by missile attacks or ongoing conflict. The advisory emphasized the importance of staying informed and following the advice of local authorities. Airlines Adjust Flight Routes Amid Middle East Tensions Qantas Airways, along with several other major airlines, has announced the rerouting of its flights to avoid airspace over the Middle East amid escalating tensions in the region.
