Today we announced that Pacific Green is entering the Polish energy storage market with the double acquisition of a pair of 50MW sites offering 400MWh of capacity. Grid applications for the projects - one located in the Warsaw region, the other in the South-West - have been lodged, ahead of anticipated participation in the Polish Capacity Market Auction in Q4 this year. The move comes as the first step towards a commitment of a minimum target of 1GWh storage capacity in Poland. Both projects are expected to reach ready-to-build status in late 2024. Exciting week for Pacific Green following having secured our first capacity market contract in Poland for a 50MW / 200MWh #battery energy storage (#BESS) project at Platerowka with our international JV Partner which we aim to commission in 2028 The T-5 Capacity Market contract cleared at 264.9PLN (€62.14)/kW/year. This secures a revenue stream for the project for 17 years. This contract award is a significant milestone for our team, enabling us to advance our #renewableenergy plans in the rapidly expanding Polish market. We’re delighted to play our part in driving the adoption of grid-scale storage across the country to support the Polish #energytransition.”

📣  R.Power is speeding up the pace in Poland! 💯    🖊️ We have signed a conditional agreement to acquire a majority stake in the target company while simultaneously forming a strategic Joint-Venture partnership with the sellers.     🎯 The target company owns a late-stage PV project with secured grid capacity of 162 MVA.
