The following are several issues that were highlighted during a recent end-of-warranty inspection conducted for a client in South Wales. These issues vary in severity, categorised as follows:
- Low Severity: There is a degraded yaw motor seal that has been identified, which is causing leakage and consequently contributing to the accelerated degradation of the motor.
- Medium Severity: A damaged blade collar was noted during the inspection, which appears to be loosening over time. If this issue is not addressed, it could ultimately lead to significant displacement of the collar.
- High Severity: There are observable signs of a higher degree of displacement, which are resulting in the formation of voids within the concrete foundation. This situation poses a serious risk and requires immediate attention to prevent further structural issues.

Chances are there are gas, electric, water, sewer or telecommunications lines buried underground near where you’re reading this right now. Hitting any one of them can range from an annoyance to a costly, life-changing mistake. It isn’t worth the gamble.
Contact 811 first so you don’t have to call 911. As we say, “Safety is in your hands. Every Dig. Every Time.” Everyone has a role in preventing damage. It’s a free service, so the only way you’ll pay is if you don’t use it.

🟥 Red flags mark electric lines.
🟧 Orange flags indicate communication lines, like cable or internet.
🟨 Yellow flags warn of gas lines.
🟩 Green flags signify sewer lines.
🟦 Blue flags indicate water lines.
❗️❗️❗️ Important Note: These flags are there for a reason! Never remove them or mow them over. If you see them while digging, stop immediately and contact your local utility company.
