This list is a great start. Any other ways you use AI for executive functioning skills (or other gaps)?
Right now I am studying alongside an army of ADHDers and not many of us aren't using ChatGPT. "Isn't that just cheating?" I often get asked this when I suggest a colleague or friend uses it. But it's not true. ChatGPT enables my creativity to flourish and gets my messy thoughts into some order. I can write a prompt detailing my task, my audience, word count, what I have written so far, what points I want to cover and also ask it to ask me questions which might help me complete the task. The more creative my input is, the better output I will get. It's like a place to dump all of ones thoughts and get them unscrambled, and fast. You can also ask ChatGPT to suggest a recipe made out of the random items in your fridge or meal plan for a week, avoiding certain ingredients or working with dietary requirements. So it's not cheating - it's another tool. Like using a computer to write and send an email instead of posting a letter. It just happens to be hugely appreciated by many ADHDers. #AINeurodiversity #ChatGPT #ADHD #Neurodivergent #Neurodiverse #AIForADHD

This might come as a surprise, but AI tools can make life easier for us ADHDers 🤯 Here’s how 1. “Outsource” tasks that you struggle with. This could be drafting an email response or helping plan your day. 2. Using voice reminders for your schedule With tools such as Alexa, you could set up AI to vocalise your reminders. We all know how easy it is to forget what’s on our schedule. 3. Task breakdown If you’re like me and never know how to break down a task or where to start, AI could help break down tasks into smaller, more manageable actions. 4. Learning & Simplification AI tools help explain context in simple terms, making learning more accessible and less overwhelming. I personally use Gemini as my “scene partner” when I’m running lines for acting gigs. 5. Idea generation and prioritisation If you’re like me and you have 10,000 ideas, ChatGPT can help you decide which one is worth focusing on, based on your experience, what you're passionate about and of course the opportunity itself. Instead of worrying about the future of AI I say we work with it rather than against it to make our day-to-day lives easier! 🤦♂️ 🙅♂️ 🙀 You said WHAT?!? 🙊 🙈 🙉 💡 Harness the power of AI before publishing a document to gain the perspective of your intended audience. 🔍 1️⃣ With ChatGPT, write a prompt that asks it to imagine being ::insert target audience here:: (parent of a middle-school child with ADHD & special needs) 2️⃣ Tell it to review the document you want to be analyzed (syllabus, etc.) 3️⃣ Ask ChatGPT to identify the document's tone and how having their child in the class would feel. 👀 Eye-opening feedback commences! 👀 🧠 Consider revisions for your message to be best received 🤝 ❗❗❗Here are the results from above ❗❗❗ 💔 ChatGPT's review of the syllabus: "... my initial reaction to this syllabus is one of concern. The tone of the document is strict, rule-oriented, and emphasizes consequences for non-compliance with classroom expectations. It comes across as rigid, with a strong focus on behavior management and discipline rather than flexibility or accommodations, which raises red flags for a child who may face challenges in adhering to these standards due to their ADHD." 💔 As educators, we are so much more than rules. Don't fall into the trap of a consequence-ridden syllabus that fails to show families the wonderful educators you are! *attached is an image generated by ChatGPT based on its interpretation of the syllabus*

Six weeks ago, I set out to create a simple AI tool to help people with ADHD—or anyone who has too much on their mind 🧠 . Today, it's the top ADHD-focused tool on the ChatGPT store 🚀✨ In that time, it has also: • Already reached over 1,000 conversations 🗣️ • Earned a 4.8/5 rating 🌟 • Become #1 ADHD-focused solution on the platform by recent engagement 🌍 This simple AI tool 🤖, is specifically designed to assist with the unique challenges of ADHD. It's part of what's known as a "custom GPTs" - a versions of ChatGPT fine-tuned for specific use, like movie recommendations, travel advice, and much more. In this case, it's tailored to help people manage their thoughts, tasks or plans more effectively. Why did I create it? 🤔 Well, many people don't have the time or expertise to learn about generative AI, prompting, and things like that. But that doesn't mean they should miss out on the benefits of the technological progress or be left behind. With custom GPTs, we can simplify everything and create tools that anyone can use to make their lives a bit easier. Generative AI is also amazing at: • summarization 📝 • breaking down ideas into plans 🗂️ • organizing tasks into lists ✅ Benefits that can be particularly useful for people with ADHD. To my surprise, most options on the ChatGPT store focused on education rather than providing a simple, practical tool you could just pick up and use when needed - nothing more, nothing less. So, I set out to create exactly that. And you can try it for yourself right here 👇 https://lnkd.in/dDE2vjSa ❗ Pro tip: Try using it with speech-to-text (available on macOS and the mobile ChatGPT app). It’s often easier to speak your mind than type it all out! Even if you don't have ADHD, give it a try. We all need a little help sometimes with clearing our mind and thoughts 💭 Like it? Hate it? Feel free to reach out. I'd love to hear your feedback 💌 #AI #ADHD #Productivity #GenerativeAI #ChatGPT
