Healthengine Hackathon 👩💻 Earlier this month, our team came together for a full week of connection and collaboration, with two incredible days dedicated to our Hackathon! Guided by our mission to improve access to healthcare, the Hackathon was all about developing innovative ideas to enhance the healthcare experience for patients and practices, streamline our processes for greater efficiency, and, most importantly, have fun while learning and growing together💡 Here’s what made our Hackathon special ⤵️ 🤝 Collaboration at its finest: Bringing our teams together from across the country fostered incredible synergy and strengthened our culture of teamwork. 💁 Customer-first innovation: Teams connected with each other, as well as patients and practices to gather real-time feedback, iterate on their ideas, and ensure meaningful solutions. 🧪 Experimentation and learning: The Hackathon was a safe space to test bold ideas, experiment with new technologies, and embrace learnings along the way. 🏆Celebrating success: With 9 teams presenting, the creativity was off the charts! Congratulations to our winning team: Adrian, Mubarak A., Elyse Peacock, Harry Feng, Joshua K., Lachlan Drysdale and Samantha Milligan, for their outstanding idea that truly embodied our vision for healthcare innovation. A huge thank you to our People Team, Bree R. and Courtney Anderson, and CTO Greg Van Baast for bringing this event to life for us and to all our customers and partners who helped us in our research-gathering and testing phases. 🚀 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐀2𝐒𝐕 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 2024 - 𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭! 🌍 I recently had the 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 to participate in the A2SV Hackathon, focused on "𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚'𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬" 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐀𝐈. This 3-day online event, from July 19-22, was a rollercoaster of innovation, learning, and growth. Some highlights: 4,900+ 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 700+ 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐭𝐨𝐩 128 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬)! The competition was fierce, and while we didn't advance to the semifinals, the experience was invaluable. We developed an MVP and pitch deck with the amazing support of mentors, pushing our limits and showcasing our ideas. 🚀 My Unforgettable Journey at Medecro HealthHack 2024 🚀 I'm excited to share my incredible journey at Medecro HealthHack 2024, a hackathon organized on the Unstop platform. Alongside my talented teammate, ANAND YADAV, we took on the challenge of building something impactful in the healthcare space. From conceptualizing our idea to presenting it to the jury, the experience was nothing short of transformative. Here's a glimpse of our journey: 1. Idea Submission: Where Vision Meets Reality Our journey began by exploring real-world healthcare challenges, aiming to select one where we could make a difference through technology. After brainstorming and refining various ideas, we locked in on a concept that felt both meaningful and practical. This initial stage was thrilling as we transformed an abstract vision into a well-structured proposal. 🎉 Successfully cleared the Idea Submission Round! 2. Prototype Submission: Building Under Pressure The second phase pushed us to our limits. Turning our concept into a working prototype quickly was a test of both our technical skills and our endurance. We spent countless hours selecting the right tech stack, designing the architecture, and solving integration issues. There were plenty of moments where things didn’t go as planned – from stubborn bugs to API integration challenges – but every obstacle was a learning experience. In the end, we submitted a working prototype. It wasn't flawless, but it captured the essence of our solution and showed what we could accomplish under pressure. 💻 Cleared the Prototype Submission Round! 3. Final Presentation: Mastering the Art of Pitching This round was all about how effectively we could communicate our vision. Presenting to the jury was both nerve-wracking and rewarding. We walked them through the problem we aimed to solve, our innovative solution, and the value it brought to the table. Their feedback was incredibly insightful, highlighting areas for improvement and recognizing the effort we invested. Though we didn’t make it to the final selection, the presentation taught us the importance of conveying ideas clearly and confidently. 📊 Missed the final cut but learned invaluable lessons! 📈 Reflecting on the Journey: Growth Beyond Competition Medecro HealthHack 2024 wasn’t just another competition – it was a journey of growth, collaboration, and problem-solving. Every challenge we faced made us more resilient, and every step forward reminded us of the potential technology holds to improve lives.
