Moving more has been shown to improve concentration, aid memory, speed up learning and lower stress. All these factors contribute to our ability to perform at our fullest potential at work. Moving more also positively impacts our mental health, and as CEO Magazine has reported, “People who have stronger mental resilience can persevere for longer. Stresses associated with a busy workplace are inevitable, but it is our ability to stick with something in the face of setbacks that is the true indication of success.” So please share my ‘Move More, Perform Better’ resource with your colleagues so everyone can be inspired with some simple, yet powerful ways to move more while dealing with the intensity of their workdays. Leaders, be the role model on this and watch the positive ripple effect it has on you and your team. What’s one way that you prioritise moving more at work? #humanresources #leadership #movemoremay
I have added a daily „forest bath“ to my routine - I walk there, sit under a big tree to meditate, and walk back. 🌳 I enjoy the calmness and purpose of it (which is to lower stress levels). 🙏
I love these ideas! Personally I'd be lost without my regular daily walks both upon waking, in the middle of the day, and in the evening. Having a dog definitely helps to motivate me to walk.
I shall embrace the philosophy of King Julian - I like to Move it Move it. Thanks Heidi.
I love that you have provided something so practical Heidi Dening - Keynote Speaker and Author. You are very thoughtful.
While such a simple idea, this is one of the most practical I’ve seen shared in a long while 🔥
What a terrific practical resource that anyone can follow. Generous!
There are so many good advice! I like the idea of standing in a call or group meeting (another reason to use my standing desk!).
Love this Heidi! There is a mountain of empirical evidence stacking up regarding the power of movement. Get outside up clock up your daily 30 mins
So practical, I love it!

8moThese are terrific Heidi Dening - Keynote Speaker and Author and I have just shared with a client of mine; we were talking in a Coach session today about the perceived challenges he faces being "desk bound" and tied to Zoom and Teams calls. Thank you! Small steps each day create big habit changes! My personal add is two small hand weights under my desk! I'm recovering from frozen shoulder and doing some bicep curls in between meetings.
