Very proud to share that Holland Circular Hotspot is one of the parters at CLOSER – Circular Raw Materials for European Open Strategic Autonomy on Chips and Microelectronics Production, which has been selected for funding with an outstanding score of 23.20 out of 25! Special congratulations to my colleague Luca Polidori! This initiative represents a €14M investment, prepared in collaboration with exceptional organizations and is set to kickstart the execution of a portfolio encompassing 14 advanced investments across four pivotal areas. Its design ensures that each enhancement within various segments not only thrives in its right but also significantly contributes to the holistic advancement of the entire value chain, from e-waste to sustainable chips and microelectronics. 📢 Our Innovation team joined the IndTech 2024 Conference on Industrial Technologies organised by the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2024 in Namur last week! Our colleagues contributed to important discussions about the future of advanced materials and circular economy. Our Innovation Project Manager, Francesca Cavezza, participated in a panel discussion titled "A New Generation of Advanced Materials Fit for the Circular Economy," bringing valuable insights into how to enhance the circularity of advanced materials, such as #aluminium, for industrial leadership. To boost further the circularity of the aluminium value chain, Francesca focused on the recently completed SALEMA EU project as an inspirational case study. 💡Our Director Innovation, Christian Leroy, joined another panel session co-organised by A.SPIRE and EU Science, Research and Innovation, addressing the crucial role of electrification and the integration of renewables and alternative sustainable energy in the #decarbonisation of the process industries. Christian emphasised the two on-going EU projects, H2GLASS and HyInHeat, focussing on the use of hydrogen as a fuel to decarbonise our heating and melting processes.
