With the holiday season fast approaching, now is the perfect time to prepare your kitchen for the busy festive period. Healthier Christmas Ham Recipe 🎄🍖 Bring a healthier twist to your holiday table with this delicious, naturally sweetened Christmas Ham. Ingredients: 1 lean, bone-in ham (about 6-8 pounds) 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice Zest of 1 orange 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional) 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Instructions: 1️⃣ Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). 2️⃣ Prepare the Ham: Place the ham in a roasting pan with a small amount of water at the bottom to keep it moist. 3️⃣ Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, orange juice, orange zest, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and heated through - about 2-3 minutes. 4️⃣ Glaze the Ham: Brush the glaze generously over the ham, ensuring it covers all sides. Reserve some glaze for basting during cooking. 5️⃣ Bake the Ham: Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1.5-2 hours (about 15-20 minutes per pound), basting with the reserved glaze every 20-30 minutes. 6️⃣ Finish and Serve: For the last 15 minutes, remove the foil to let the glaze caramelize slightly.
