Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad’s Post

Hibiscus Petroleum sponsored the 2024 edition of “Kembara Sains Borneo” in Sabah, an annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programme organised by the National Science Centre of Malaysia aimed at educating the youth and local community. Over the span of a month, the programme is expected to benefit 15,000 participants across 9 locations consisting of Kinabatangan, Sandakan, Telupid, Ranau, Kota Belud, Tuaran, Kinarut, Papar and Kota Kinabalu. Bringing along with it a many interactive activities including a mobile science exhibition in a bus, STEM workshops, entertaining shows and much more. Hibiscus Petroleum's personnel also conducted talks on ‘An Introduction to Energy’. The programme was officially launched on 22 July 2024 at Lahad Datu by The Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Dato Mohammad Yusop Apdal, with our Chairman, Zainul Rahim in attendance. The Deputy Minister, together with the Chief Minister of Sabah, and our Country Head of Malaysia & Vietnam, Dr Pascal Hos also did a walkabout of the programme in Tuaran district. Other partners of the programme include Planetarium Negara, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and Young Scientists Network.
