As an entrepreneur, I'm always drawn to other entrepreneurs and connecting with them when possible, even on vacation. Today in Porto, Portugal, I met some enterprising business students from @FEP U.Porto including Márcia Silva, carrying out a project of raising money. While their classmates took different approaches, some resold bottled water at an upcharge, these women opted for a novel approach: you could pay a euro if you told them a joke and they didn’t laugh, or pay a euro if you didn’t answer a question correctly. I chose the latter, got it wrong, (the answer, btw, was Jack Nicholson), and paid the euro. Was it a good enterprise? Probably not sustainable, too risky, too lengthy of a process, and so on. But, on a beautiful and sunny day with streets full of international tourists, I think it worked very well! It was also a great investment of a euro for me to meet these creative students and participate in their assignment. #portugal #entrepreneurship #students #makemelaugh #humankindpartnership #storytellingforgood
