What an incredible week at AFROTECH ! When I walked into the Afrotech conference, I was reminded of the powerful mantra: always walk into a room as your authentic self and carry that authenticity with you throughout the experience. The energy was vibrant, and it was clear that the spirit of innovation was alive and well. Some of my key takeaways: The designs of our industry may sometimes seem limiting, but instead of lamenting what's in place, we should find ways to navigate and exploit these structures to our advantage. Furthermore, let’s not forget the importance of community—starting from how we treat our teams. A supportive environment fosters growth, and we all have a role in cultivating that! I am particularly excited to share that one of the talented girls from the GirlCode hackathon was able to secure a job! Now that’s impact! This is a great example that if you’ve got the skills, and passion, and someone to invest in your potential, there’s no limit to what you can achieve. Remember: unsubscribe from imposter syndrome. If you're in a room, you belong there. Together, let's continue uplifting one another and pushing the boundaries of innovation. I am particularly inspired by Morgan DeBaun for creating such an incredible platform. A huge Thank you to Chenosis for believing in these bright talents and sponsoring their future!
