Recap: Beyond Design roundtable on WCAG compliance Yesterday, we hosted a Beyond Design roundtable focused on tackling the complexities of WCAG compliance. The discussion covered key challenges, including: - How to align multiple products for accessibility - Bridging the gap between design and development - Gaining management buy-in for accessibility initiatives - Where to start in the compliance process - How to know when your efforts are “good enough” We know WCAG can feel overwhelming and, admittedly, it’s not always at the top of everyone’s agenda. But it’s time to take it seriously—it’s a substantial effort, and the sooner you begin, the better. Key takeaway: You need a structured system to kickstart the process. To help, we’ve developed an audit framework designed to reduce the complexity, align your team, and give you the tools to make a compelling case for accessibility. Thanks so much for joining Arnoud van der Velden, Boyd Emmen, Ainat Sagie, Alessandro Carosso, René Vendrig, Tizian Fendt, Teun van Heerebeek and Maurice Vriend! 🚀 Let’s turn this challenge into action! #wcag #accessibility #compliancy #inclusivity
Thursday the 3rd of October we host a workshop around this topic together with De Voorhoede. Leave your name in the comments or reach out via DM if you'd like to join!
Thanks for sharing your insights, Boyd Emmen and Irene de Vocht, on executing WCAG audits on huge projects. 🙏

2moThank you Hike One, Irene de Vocht, and Boyd Emmen for hosting such an important discussion! It’s easy to get overwhelmed when tackling WCAG for the first time, so having an expert who can provide a structured approach makes a big difference, and your framework is an excellent way to get started. Of course, long-term success will come from educating the entire team—POs, devs, and designers—so accessibility naturally becomes part of the workflow, not just a one-time effort. #Accessibility #UXDesign #WCAG #InclusiveDesign
