Do you know about Spot Colours? You may have heard of Pantones but, if not, it's a library of numbered colours used in graphic design and wet-ink printing. It's a reference guide so everybody has a visual idea of what colour is being asked for! Bear in mind, computer and phone screens don't all display the same way or even have the exact same brightness settings, so the best way of looking at a colour is to physically look at it. If in doubt, we can print a colour sample of your artwork for you to inspect and approve prior to printing the full label order! 😃 Get in touch today! #WeAreHine #LabelsMatter #Pantones #SpotColours #DigitalPrinting #Printing #UVPrinters #DidYouKnow #teamhine #hinelabels #hine #labelexperts #labelprinting #stickwithus #colour #colours

Crops and bleed play a crucial role in the printing process. Crops indicate the exact area where the design will be trimmed, ensuring a precise and polished finish. Bleed extends the design slightly beyond this trim line, preventing any unwanted white edges and guaranteeing that the printed piece looks seamless and professional. These elements are essential for achieving accurate and visually appealing prints, underscoring the importance of meticulous attention to detail in the printing workflow. #design #designer #print #graphics #printing #graphics360 #postcards #brochures #workflow

Waleed Mirza thought of a clever feature when designing the logo for Printer Guys, a client from Winnipeg, Canada. In the word "Printer", he colored the letter "I" with the four colors of CMYK—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black)—which are the basic colors used in printing. This small but creative detail makes the logo pop and immediately tells you that these guys are all about printing. #logodesign #design #printing

Why Color Separation is Still Crucial in Printing ? In the age of digital everything, some might think color separation is a relic of the past. But us print professionals know it's the secret sauce behind those stunning brochures and vibrant packaging! What is it? Color separation is the process of breaking down a full-color image into its individual color components – typically Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK). Each component gets its own printing plate, and when layered just right, they create the final masterpiece Why is it important ? • Accurate Color Reproduction: Ensures your design translates perfectly from screen to paper. No more unexpected color shifts! • Cost-Effectiveness: CMYK inks are readily available and affordable compared to specialty colors. • Wider Color Gamut: By combining CMYK inks in varying densities, you can achieve a surprisingly broad range of colors. #printing #colors #CMYK #design #prepress #packaging #marketing #graphicdesign

Tips for choosing right screen for silkscreen printing First of all, consider how easy it is for the ink to pass through the screen. For intermediate tones, use inks with high transparency, fine pigment particles, and a higher ratio of pigment carriers. The ink has good permeability. It can pass well when using a high-mesh count screen. Generally, plastic inks have good permeability. Special-purpose inks and inks with high pigment concentrations have poor permeability despite being fine particles. If the surface of the substrate is rough, you can use a screen with lower mesh count. For example, when talking about substrate like leather, canvas, foam sheet, wood, etc., the surface is rough, and the ink absorption is strong, a screen with lower mesh count should be used to ensure sufficient ink passing through. Choose the screen according to the fineness of the lines of the original image. In general, choose high-mesh count for fine lines. When choosing screen, you must also think about the cost. Under the premise of meeting the printing requirements, try to choose a lower-priced screen. www.jrpanel.com #membraneswitch #graphicoverlay #silkscreen #printing #screen

Choosing the right printing technique for your brand is crucial. Here’s a comparison of #sublimation and #screenprinting to guide your decision: ⚾ Print Quality and Durability ⚾ 🏀 Sublimation: Ensures exceptional quality with vivid colors that embed into fabric fibers, offering long-lasting designs that resist washing out, cracking, or peeling. 🏀 Screen Printing: Ideal for simpler designs with one or few colors, providing good quality prints. However, the ink sits on the fabric's surface, making it less durable over time, and prone to cracking, peeling, and fading with washes. Evaluate your design requirements carefully to select the method that best suits your brand's objectives!

Before printing your designs, here are three things you should know! 🖨️🖼️ 1. Color Counts: Make sure that your file is in CMYK rather than RGB. Accurate rendition of color is ensured by this. 2. Sometimes, size really does matter: For crisp prints, establish a minimum canvas size (such as 4000 x 5000 pixels) and keep the resolution at 300 pixels per inch or above. 3. File Format: To maintain quality and avoid compression problems, save your file in a print-friendly format such as PDF or TIFF. Did you check these 3 things before sending your files for printing?? #graphicdesign #printdesign #printing
