HONICS technology, one of the 50 Innovation Academy (INO) standouts, is set to transform hydrogen production with its groundbreaking UV light conversion. 💥 ⚡️ This unique technology utilizes #UVlight sources to convert 80% of the #energy directly into #UVradiation, enabling a more efficient, cost-effective, and #sustainable way to use the energy required for #hydrogen production. HONICS' future ambitions involve extending this concept to the #spaceindustry and securing funding from the European Space Agency and other startup assistance programmes. The ultimate goal is to become the world leader in hydrogen production. 🎯 💡 Throughout the 3-year Innovation Academy training programme, 443 participants gained valuable knowledge and created 110 new product or service solutions. INO was supported by our Technology Business Centre and the EEA and Norway Grants and conducted in collaboration with Riga Business School. ℹ️ Following the programme's conclusion, our Technology Business Center is transitioning into the Technology Representation Office in Riga. The ready2LOOP team has expanded with two new Research Assistants! Our goal? To encourage companies to engage in reselling their unused maintenance parts and integrate second-hand components into their purchasing policies. 🎯 📊 CSR Indicators to motivate and guide companies: The kheoosImpact project aims to deploy Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) indicators related to the buying and selling of maintenance parts. These indicators will include carbon footprint, raw material savings, and energy efficiency. Why? Because we want to provide the necessary information to companies joining kheoos in this new market, enabling them to make informed decisions. 🔗 🌟 Company Commitment: We firmly believe that providing these indicators is a key element in encouraging companies to participate in this positive initiative. Inobiostar has secured a 💸 €2.3 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator! 🇪🇺  This achievement follows a year-long, thorough three-step evaluation process: first, a short proposal review; then, a full proposal evaluation; and finally, an interview in Brussels. 🇧🇪 Successfully passing this rigorous selection process ensures that only the most promising innovations, like our InnoAerogel technology, receive this prestigious grant. #HymeUpdate: We got selected for the #EICAccelerator! 🚀   We are happy to share that from a total of 1083 proposals submitted to the European Innovation Council Accelerator funding, we are part of the 42 companies selected. Our application called #ProjectHYSE was approved for receiving €2,5 million in free grant allocation and further access to €15 million in matching equity, which will be matched 1:1 against new equity from external investors that we would welcome over the next 9 months. This represents a massive achievement for us.   "This funding will allow us to fully mature our #moltensalt #thermalenergystorage technology and to continue building our organization so we can fully unlock the commercial pipeline we have already created. And Bioregional Financing Facilities can play a critical role in supporting that transition.”  - Lynne Twist *** This solstice week marks the launch of the BioFi Project and the book Bioregional Financing Facilities: Reimagining Finance to Regenerate Our Planet. I am happy to be joining the BioFi Project team (www.biofi.earth) , a collective dedicated to supporting bioregional organizing teams around the world to turn the recommendations in the book into action through designing, building, and implementing Bioregional Financing Facilities (BFFs). BFFs are a new type of financial institution designed to drive the decentralization of financial resource governance, the design of project portfolios for systemic change, and the transition to a regenerative economy. They have the potential to become the connective tissue between financial resources and on-the-ground regenerators. BFFs can achieve this by enabling integrated capital raised from a variety of sources to flow to aggregated portfolios of systemically coordinated and supported regenerative projects on the ground. The book lays out templates for four types of BFFs: Bioregional Trusts, Bioregional Venture Studios, Bioregional Investment Companies, and Bioregional Banks. It is informed by persistent innovation in the fields of economics, finance, ecology, evolutionary biology, and systems theory.” BFFs were born out of and can support the web of interdependent efforts of the broader regenerative movement.
