👶 I was one year old, when Porsche AG launched this iconic commercial for the legendary #Porsche 959. 36 years back, the #959 was the epitome of a driving machine: 🏁 Fastest series-production car (317km/h top speed). 🌪 First street-legal car ever build with sequential turbo chargers. 💡 Aramid-reinforced body parts, dry-sump lubrication, magnesium wheels with tyre pressure sensors - the 959 had it all. But ultimately these are just #facts and #figures. What really counts in the end, what really endures and what the 959 expresses perfectly, is the Porsche #mindset. Something that is really hard to put into words. For me, this video comes remarkably close. But see for yourself... THE ALL NEW FERRARI F80🏁 “This weekend, I took some time for a fun Sunday activity-redesigning the front and rear of the newly released Ferrari F80 with a few personal tweaks. Let me be clear, this isn’t because the original design is lacking. In fact, Ferrari’s design team has done an incredible job with this masterpiece, continuing the legacy of its predecessors. My redesign is simply an exploration of how a few subtle changes might impact its visual presence. It’s a great exercise in understanding how design evolves and how personal taste can influence certain elements. While I love the overall look of the F80, I do have one small disappointment—the switch to a V6 engine. I understand Ferrari’s intention to maximize power in a smaller form factor, but there’s something about the raw symphony of a roaring V12 💨that I just miss. Nevertheless, it’s an amazing machine and a true testament to Ferrari’s legendary design philosophy!” Go through the redesigned details and let me know your thoughts on it.

FERRARI F80 | ENZO | SIDE VIEW 2 decades later, it's really interesting to see that Ferrari has gone back to this boxy style design cues with their latest flagship Ferrari F80 that I can see it stemmed a lot from the Enzo especially with the design of the front fenders, lower door intake, DLO and the rear diffuser. It definitely caught me by surprise that they went with this style of design language considering that the LaFerrari from 2013 has a more fluid and flowy style design language which looks very different compared to the F80 and Enzo. It would be fascinating to understand how design direction decisions are made by Ferrari and other major supercar companies. Hopefully someday I could be part of those discussions! #FerrariF80 #FerrariEnzo #AutomotiveDesign

Did you know? ☝As a reminiscence of the Carrera 2.7 RS from the 1970s, Porsche presented the Sport Classic special model, limited to 1,250 units for the global market, with the rear spoiler known as the "duck tail" in April 2022. Technically based on the Turbo model, the Sport Classic offers a 7-speed manual transmission with rear-wheel drive, making it the most powerful manual transmission ever built by Porsche in series production. In view of the fact that only 250 vehicles were produced for the European market, this example is probably one of very few in the elegant special paint color Agate Grey metallic. A fascinatingly attractive, mainly handcrafted limited edition model, which reinterprets and consistently continues the celebrated Porsche design elements of the classic 911.
