You dedicate a lot of time and energy to your loved one's care, but it's also important to balance that with taking care of yourself. Here are some simple ideas to get you started: 1. Create a routine for yourself and your loved one. This reduces anxiety for them and makes it easier for you to get the breaks you need. 2. Get support through support groups, connecting with other caregivers, going to therapy, or confiding in a friend. 3. In our communities, Alzheimer's is more than just a disease—it’s a challenge that families and caregivers face every single day. Watching someone you love lose their memory, struggle with tasks, or forget your name can feel heartbreaking. But we’re not alone in this journey. Together, we can make simple changes that mean the world. Creating safe spaces at home, training community carers, building peer support networks for families, and finding moments of connection through routine and care. Alzheimer’s may take away memories, but it can’t take away the love and strength we share. Let’s come together, learn from each other, and support those who need it most. Share your tips, join a local group, or simply lend a listening ear to someone going through this difficult time. Every small step counts. #AlzheimersAwareness #CaregivingWithLove #CommunitySupport #InclusiveCare #DementiaAwareness #WeAreInThisTogether https://lnkd.in/es3fF8jp

The holiday season can be very hard on caregivers, and if you have any clients who are dealing with navigating decision making for a person living with dementia and feeling the pressure of this season, I’m happy to help! Please feel free to share this video :)
