Our team had a fantastic Volunteering Day in Penicuik, Midlothian, at the Food Fact Friends Community Hub. Through individual team member donations, as well as a Hub South East contribution, we were able to take along lots of food and toy donations to help their Xmas appeal and we were put to work on the day and given a taste of the variety of services offered by this amazing charity. From serving in the cafe, stocking the pantry, sorting toys and building shelves, to being personal shoppers and visiting local supermarkets to collect donations, the Hub team enjoyed our day and most importantly we got to hear first hand about the worthwhile work being done across Midlothian by Food Fact Friends - providing a safe space and access to food and specialist support services. The number of regular volunteers who keep places like this going is amazing and we were happy to play our small part on the day. https://lnkd.in/ez4Ku49J

Volunteering is an incredible way to support your community and local charities, but finding the time to help isn’t always easy. Micro-volunteering empowers everyone to contribute to worthy causes, one small action at a time. Whether it's lending a hand to a neighbour, sharing knowledge online, or donating a few minutes of your time to a local charity, every effort counts. We’re immensely proud of our TECOSIM team, for their readiness to step in when needed and support worthy causes. #Volunteering hashtag#CommunitySupport hashtag#MicroVolunteering hashtag#MakeADifference hashtag#SmallActionsBigImpact hashtag#SupportLocalCharities hashtag#GiveBack hashtag#EmpowerChange hashtag#CommunityService hashtag#GetInvolved hashtag#SocialGood

🎄 Spreading Christmas Cheer Through Charitable Giving 🎁 At Ital Logistics Limited, we’ve always believed that the true spirit of Christmas is about giving back. That’s why, instead of sending corporate gifts, we dedicate our resources each year to support charities that are making a real difference—especially those that often lack the larger, more widespread support they deserve. This year, with input from our wonderful team, we are proud to make donations to the following organisations, all of which are doing incredible work in their communities: ▪️ Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter 🐾 ▪️ Coffee4Craig ☕ ▪️ Veterans Into Logistics 🎖️ ▪️ Animals In Distress Field Of Dreams 🐕 ▪️ Bootle Bucks Inclusion FC ⚽ These donations will help each of these charities continue to achieve their vital goals—whether it’s supporting vulnerable animals, assisting the homeless, providing opportunities for veterans, or giving young people the chance to thrive through sport. We are confident that these contributions will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. At Ital, we’re proud to support causes that matter and believe in the importance of giving back to the community—not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. It’s our small way of making a positive difference and helping those who need it most. This week we're celebrating 40 years of Volunteers' Week! 🤩 Each and every one of our volunteers plays a massive part in what we're able to achieve every single day! Without them, we simply couldn't treat as many poorly pets as we do. From sorting through stock donations and getting them ready to be displayed on the shop floor, to helping our lovely customers find their perfect second-hand pieces, there’s always something fun to do and new skills to learn 👏 Why not give volunteering a go for yourself? http://pdsa.me/U7cA [Visual description: A series of clips of volunteers in various PDSA charity shops. The clips involve them sorting through clothes on the shop floor, sorting through donated books, arranging the shops displays and steaming clothes.] #VolunteersWeek #Volunteer #Volunteers #Volunteering #VolunteerOpportunities #Charity #CharityShop

Consider allocating a portion of your holiday budget to support local charities or families in need. Explore creative ways to give, like organizing toy drives or volunteering time to community initiatives. The holidays are about more than spending—they’re about sharing. I echo what Stephen has said. Our volunteering day at St Luke's Charity Shop in Crookes, Sheffield was indeed "hard work, but fun." Spending the whole day on our feet was quite tiring for those of us who usually sit at a desk... More importantly, it was a real eye opener too, highlighting the following points: 1). How much effort goes into running a Charity Shop, particularly behind the scenes. 2). How much money is needed by St Luke's each year in order to keep doing their fantastic work. Total required this year is £14 Million. NHS funds 25% so that leaves c.£10.5 Million to be raised through donations, legacies, retail shops and other activities. Many thousands of Sheffield folks will have their lives touched in some way by St Luke's. So if you can spare your time to volunteer, or are able to donate (either cash or unwanted items) then please give generously. You will be supporting a great cause! https://lnkd.in/euze8eyi
🌟 Yesterday, some of the DeeperThanBlue team had a fantastic time volunteering at St Luke's - Sheffield's Hospice charity shop in Crookes, Sheffield! We spent the day sorting clothes and CDs, sharing laughs with the wonderful staff, and getting a solid workout in the process. It was inspiring to see the hard work that goes on day-in-day-out to keep the shelves full and raise funds for this excellent charity. A huge shoutout to Emma, the store manager, and the rest of the St Luke's team for showing us the ropes and making us feel so welcome. We hope we made a bit of a difference! 💙 Great work Jane, Pete, Holly, Josh and Stephen #Volunteering #CommunitySupport #DeeperThanBlue

There are many ways to help hungry people, depending on your resources and location. Here are some ideas: 1. *Donate to food banks*: Food banks collect and distribute food to those in need. You can search for food banks in your area and donate non-perishable items or funds. 2. *Volunteer at a soup kitchen*: Soup kitchens provide meals for people who are struggling to afford food. You can volunteer your time to help serve meals or prepare food. 3. *Support food-related charities*: Consider donating to organizations that work to address hunger and food insecurity, such as Feeding America or the World Food Programme. 4. *Offer to buy groceries or meals*: If you know someone who is struggling to afford food, offer to buy them groceries or meals. 5. *Advocate for policies that address hunger*: You can contact your local representatives and express support for policies that address hunger

The Power of Giving Back – Securititle’s Charity Program Giving back is a core part of who we are at Securititle. Through our Charity initiative, we support causes close to our hearts year-round. Here’s why this matters and how you can get involved: ● Supporting the community year-round: Charity shouldn’t be seasonal. Our Charity program highlights different causes each month, from collecting coats for kids and families in winter (collecting until 12/1!) to collecting Food Pantry donations in the spring. ● Get involved: We’re always looking for partners and community members who want to make a difference. Whether you want to donate items, time, or simply spread the word, there’s a way for everyone to contribute. ● Making a difference beyond business: We believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back, and it’s something that’s close to my heart. Helping others is not just a duty—it’s a privilege.
