Inauguration of Jordan’s First Solar Greenhouse Sludge Drying System with HUBER SOLSTICE® ☀️💦 It’s the first of its kind for Jordan: The Muta Mazar Wastewater Treatment Plant in Krak celebrated the inauguration of the first solar greenhouse sludge drying system in Jordan. This milestone project marks a significant advancement in carbon dioxide reduction and sustainable resource management, transforming waste into valuable resources. The innovative system harnesses solar energy to dry sludge, turning it into a product that can be reused as an energy source, raw material, or compost. By reducing greenhouse gas emissions, controlling odors, and improving safety and efficiency, the project showcases the benefits of sustainable, cost-effective solutions in sewage sludge management. In partnership with our regional subsidiary MENA-Water, we are proud to have been selected as the technology partner for this pioneering project. We extend our gratitude to everyone involved in this success: clients, partners, consultants, and contractors. This collaborative achievement highlights the power of innovation in addressing environmental challenges and advancing sustainable water and wastewater solutions. The inauguration was attended by H.E. Eng. Wael Al-Duwairi, Secretary General of the Water Authority of Jordan, and Mr. Guido Kemmerling, Deputy Ambassador of Germany, with the patronage of H.E. Eng. Raed Abu Soud, Minister of Water and Irrigation. #HUBER #WasteWaterSolutions #sludge #sludgetreatment #wastewater #waste #wastewatertreatment #sustainability #innovation #engineering #projects | Funded by the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ), Photo courtesy of GIZ Jordan
