The #energytransition can only be achieved if we have a skilled and trained workforce! With the closing of the European Year of Skills the Renewable Energy Skills Partnership identified key priorities to tackle the skills gap and build a future-ready workforce. It also highlighted best practices in renewable energy training programs across Europe. Special mention to: ➡️ Wind Power Energy - RESS - an academy of counseling and vocational training for renewable energy sources. @Sebastian Enache ➡️ Green Tech Skillnet - an Irish training provider who works with employers to understand urgent skills needs in renewable electricity. Mark Ruane ➡️ EUREC - The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres’ Master Programmes for various renewable technologies. ➡️ OHKW - Ohne Hände keine Wende’s career change courses. ➡️ PRODEVAL's in-house training centre. The Partnership is calling on the European Commission to: 👷 Prioritise renewable energy skills and workforce building in policymaking. 🔬 Boost the visibility and attractiveness of technical, scientific, and engineering careers in the renewables sector. 🌍 Foster recognition and mobility in educational pathways and the job market. ⚡ Ensure a strong and swift response to skills needs.
