16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign launched by UN Women. It starts on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day. I'm participating in and supporting Rivina Foundation — a global foundation founded by human rights advocate and lawyer Anna Rivina, which helps women in emigration who are facing violence. A woman in need can get free consultations from crisis psychologists and access legal guidance in her country. She can find out her rights and what kind of support she can receive from local police or activists. Today, I'm helping the Rivina Foundation raise funds to continue its work in 2025. I’m offering a £300 (€360) gift certificate for my salon, CULt. Hairdressing in London, in exchange for donations to the Rivina Foundation, supporting women facing violence. Here is how to get it: - Submit your request following the link in this post by December 10. - Receive a message from the foundation’s team with the next steps. - Make your donation to the foundation. - Claim your gift certificate. The funds raised will go toward the work of crisis psychologists who provide counselling for women, legal professionals, and the foundation's team. I believe that economic well-being and financial independence are impossible for women without psychological and physical security. If you want to support women in emigration, just like I do, you can also make a donation via the link in comments below. #16Days

Every 10 minutes a woman is intentionally killed by a partner or family member (UN, 2023). On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we want to raise awareness on this worldwide matter. Today marks also the start of #16DaysOfActivism against gender-based violence. During 16 crucial days, let's think about what we all can do as an individual, how we can help to make the killing and the violence stop. Informing ourselves, spreading the word and donating are just some of the options. What steps will you take during the #16DaysOfActivism to end gender-based violence? #EndViolenceAgainstWomen

It's 10 days until International Women's Day! Here are three ideas on how you can invest in women 🌠 1) Give power back to women experiencing domestic violence by becoming a HER Board sponsor. Women need a steady, stable organisation and ongoing support to leave domestic violence behind. Join us at herboard.org.au. 2) Organise your own fundraiser. Giving collectively allows your impact to be that much greater. This year, 4FivePlus Collective are cycling around Perth in the morning of IWD to raise donations for Luma! 3) Be part of the conversation. We've come a long way with women's rights. But we still have a long way to go. We believe that change starts here. It starts with us. It starts with a conversation. We'll be joining the conversation and sharing our perspective on March 8th, with our counsellors, nurses, executives and health workers sharing their ideas on how we can all invest more into women and girls. #Luma #IWD2024 #Investinwomen

Did you know YOU can help provide safe spaces for vulnerable women in Aruba? Read on to learn how ⬇️ 🏠 We recently kicked off a powerful initiative in the district of San Nicolas called “La Sala”. La Sala will help us further support women who work in the sex industry—women who deserve dignity, respect, and protection. 🌸 The Mission: La Sala aims to provide a permanent shelter where these women can find safety, support, and resources. Through fundraising, we plan on purchasing a building that will serve as a sanctuary for those who often face vulnerability and exploitation. 🌎 How You Can Help: 1. DONATE: If you’re inclined, consider contributing financially to this important cause. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to providing a safe space for these women. 2. SPREAD AWARENESS: Share this post to raise awareness about La Sala. Let’s amplify this message and reach more hearts. 3. PRAY: We recognize that we can do nothing without the grace and favour of the Lord. Your prayers are vital to the success of this project. Learn more and donate at ywamaruba.com/lasala 🙏 Let’s stand together, advocate for women’s rights, and create a world where safety and compassion prevail. 🌟💕 #Aruba #LaSalaProject #WomenEmpowerment #BeTheChange

Today is White Ribbon Day, an important occasion dedicated to raising awareness about gender-based violence and highlighting the critical role men play in becoming active allies. This day serves as a vital reminder for individuals and organizations alike to challenge harmful cultures and societal norms that perpetuate violence against women and girls. In support of this cause, we have purchased a quantity of white ribbons from the official White Ribbon charity and distributed them among our team across various projects. By wearing these ribbons, we demonstrate our solidarity and commitment to raising awareness, sparking meaningful conversations about the importance of this issue and the action needed to make a difference. Every conversation counts in the fight against gender-based violence 🙌🤍 #WhiteRibbonDay #ReliableContractors
