Did you know YOU can help provide safe spaces for vulnerable women in Aruba? Read on to learn how ⬇️ 🏠 We recently kicked off a powerful initiative in the district of San Nicolas called “La Sala”. La Sala will help us further support women who work in the sex industry—women who deserve dignity, respect, and protection. 🌸 The Mission: La Sala aims to provide a permanent shelter where these women can find safety, support, and resources. Through fundraising, we plan on purchasing a building that will serve as a sanctuary for those who often face vulnerability and exploitation. 🌎 How You Can Help: 1. DONATE: If you’re inclined, consider contributing financially to this important cause. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to providing a safe space for these women. 2. SPREAD AWARENESS: Share this post to raise awareness about La Sala. Let’s amplify this message and reach more hearts. 3. PRAY: We recognize that we can do nothing without the grace and favour of the Lord. Your prayers are vital to the success of this project. Learn more and donate at ywamaruba.com/lasala 🙏 Let’s stand together, advocate for women’s rights, and create a world where safety and compassion prevail. 🌟💕 #Aruba #LaSalaProject #WomenEmpowerment #BeTheChange

Gender-based violence has surged to unprecedented levels in the Democratic Republic of the #Congo. Women and girls are forced to exchange sex for survival and are exposed to violence when they go to collect firewood or work. Read the latest statement below, and if you can, donate to our Women’s Emergency Fund so that we can keep providing vital support to women in the midst of conflict such as in #DRC: https://lnkd.in/dxrBpE-d

From Djirra- Sharing stories, finding solutions, please see the below link to support: Help Aboriginal women escaping family violence Australia is facing a national crisis of violence against women. Here in Victoria, Aboriginal women are 45 times more likely to experience family violence than other women. And the number of Aboriginal women seeking support continues to rise – Djirra experienced a 22% surge in demand in the first three months of this year alone. While violence against Aboriginal women is increasing, and we are already devastatingly over-represented in family and sexual violence statistics, our frontline services and community-led solutions remain critically underfunded. This is why we URGENTLY need your help with a tax-deductible donation this end of financial year https://lnkd.in/gmS2XXbp

It’s #InternationalWomensDay, a day that’s celebrated globally to commemorate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. So at Pass It On, we’re putting the spotlight on women and the women in our communities who are #homeless. #Homelessness is dangerous for all, but women face unique, more challenging and harsher realities. Homeless women may experience gender-based violence and abuse at higher rates than homeless men. They may also face additional challenges related to reproductive health and childcare responsibilities. Additionally, the support given to women tend to be limited as homeless women are often missing from rough sleeping counts because they tend to be less visible than male rough sleepers due to the risk of violence on the streets, in a lot of cases preferring to seek shelter in cafes, transport hubs or other places rather than bedding down outside. So at Pass It On, we urge you to make a #donation this International Women’s Day. With your donations, our team is able to create curated care packages containing essential feminine products to be distributed to the women who are most in need 💕 #Donate now: https://lnkd.in/dxBrK3T #WomensDay #HomelessCharity #HomelessWomen #Charity #IWD #PassItOn

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign launched by UN Women. It starts on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day. I'm participating in and supporting Rivina Foundation — a global foundation founded by human rights advocate and lawyer Anna Rivina, which helps women in emigration who are facing violence. A woman in need can get free consultations from crisis psychologists and access legal guidance in her country. She can find out her rights and what kind of support she can receive from local police or activists. Today, I'm helping the Rivina Foundation raise funds to continue its work in 2025. I’m offering a £300 (€360) gift certificate for my salon, CULt. Hairdressing in London, in exchange for donations to the Rivina Foundation, supporting women facing violence. Here is how to get it: - Submit your request following the link in this post by December 10. - Receive a message from the foundation’s team with the next steps. - Make your donation to the foundation. - Claim your gift certificate. The funds raised will go toward the work of crisis psychologists who provide counselling for women, legal professionals, and the foundation's team. I believe that economic well-being and financial independence are impossible for women without psychological and physical security. If you want to support women in emigration, just like I do, you can also make a donation via the link in comments below. #16Days

Changing the narrative on gender-based violence should not just be based on empowering our women and girl-child, it should also focus on our collective responsibility to nurture the boy child to become an ally towards a more inclusive future. For many years the #16DaysOfActivism campaign has centred around the horrifying stats and sad reality of GBVF, but 30 years later how far have we come in tangible progress? We must ask ourselves: How can we break this cycle? Join the movement for change that is ‘ What About The Boys?’ Since 2022 we have positively impacted over 60 000 young men! Markham 1873 and What About The Boys? aim to raise R1.5M to amplify the programme. Show your support by purchasing a tee or sweater - Markham will donate R50 per tee and R100 per sweater sold. Let’s make a difference together. Shop sweaters and t-shirts in-store or online. #DoBetter #WhatAboutTheBoys

Supporting Men Affected by GBV Gender-based violence affects both men and women, yet the experiences of male survivors are often overlooked. In South Africa, men also face emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, but many are too afraid to speak out due to societal stigma. This 16 Days of Activism, let’s raise awareness about the support and resources available for men experiencing GBV. Breaking the silence is key to healing and creating a world where all survivors can find the help they need. At Forefront Leadership, we believe in supporting NPOs that work with all survivors of GBV, including men. Our consultancy services are designed to strengthen your organization’s capacity, helping you provide the right resources, counseling, and safe spaces for male survivors. Together, we can create inclusive programs that address the unique needs of all survivors, regardless of gender.
