📢 New sustainability tool for early decision making in hydropower needs your insight! We're thrilled to finally announce the introduction of HYDROSELECT, an innovative tool by the Hydropower Sustainability Alliance and the multistakeholder Working Group on Early Stage Decision Making, made up of representatives of the four chambers of the Hydropower Sustainability Council. This tool represents a leap forward in early stage decision making, guiding hydropower potential towards sustainability from the outset. Why HYDROSELECT? The path to sustainability must start early. Addressing sustainability in the initial stages of project development not only boosts confidence in project concepts but also saves time, effort, and investment down the line. HYDROSELECT is designed to highlight potential risks before significant investments are made, offering new insight into sustainable hydropower development. Public Consultation period now open! From 11 April to 10 June 2024, we are opening the floor to you to get your thoughts and insights on the HYDROSELECT Consultation Paper. Dive into the consultation paper, explore its ratings, structure, and thematic areas, and share your thoughts through our online response form.
