Shandong Weihai Cheng & Jingneng - 200MW/400MWh Shared Energy Storage #BESS Project: This project, invested and constructed by Jingneng International, involves a total investment of 867 million yuan. It features a lithium iron phosphate battery ( LiFePO4) energy storage system with a capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh, complemented by a 1.2 MW/2.4 MWh sodium battery energy storage system. Located in the Rongcheng City Haoyunjiao Tourism Resort, it is the largest energy storage power station in the Jiaodong region. The #sodiumbattery energy storage system adopt #ZTTEK 3.0V 200Ah #sodium-ion cells specifically designed for energy storage. Each battery pack is configured as 22S2P (67.1V, 400Ah), with each #battery cluster equipped with independent relays to enable series/parallel combinations and independent control. A total of three battery clusters are connected to one 1250 kW PCS (Power Conversion System). 16 Dec 2024, 10:29 PM PETALING JAYA: EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a global lithium battery manufacturer, has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Padang Meha, Kulim, Kedah. It will serve customers in the power tool and electric two-wheeler sectors in Southeast Asia, Europe and North America, Bernama reported The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), in a joint statement with EVE Energy today, said the factory will eventually employ 2,000 workers, most of them with technical skills. MIDA CEO Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said in the face of increasingly severe challenges posed by climate change, energy transition and low-carbon development will be at the core of future industries like this. He said Malaysia was promoting technological innovation and energy transition for future sustainable development. EVE Energy senior vice-president Vincent Wong said the plant had been completed in just 16 months after the groundbreaking ceremony in August 2023. The factory will commence operations in the first quarter of 2025. EVE Energy co-founder and CEO Liu Jianhua said the factory will promote further cooperation and exchange between China and Malaysia in the field of new energy.

Binjiang substation to address increasing power demand in Anhui The State Grid's 35-kilovolt Binjiang substation project is set to start delivering electricity by the end of this month to address the increasing power demand from growing technological and high-tech manufacturing industries in Anhui province, said project undertaker State Grid Ma'anshan Power Supply Co. "After the 35 kV Binjiang substation is put into operation, it will significantly improve the power grid structure of the Dangtu county, enhance the area's power supply capacity, reliability and quality, and support business operations with high electricity demands," said project manager Zhang Xiang. In recent years, emerging industries such as big data and precision instruments have become major drivers of electricity consumption, posing new requirements for grid capacity expansion. According to the latest data from the National Energy Administration, in the first three quarters of this year, electricity consumption for internet-related services increased by 24.4 percent year-on-year, while the electric vehicle sector maintained rapid growth with a 56.7 percent year-on-year increase in electricity consumption for battery charging and swapping services. Against this backdrop, the State Grid has been actively coordinating with high electricity-consuming enterprises to expand its power transmission capacity. Taking its subsidiary the State Grid Ma'anshan Power Supply Co as an example, in 2024 alone in the Dangtu area, they have initiated four substation construction and expansion projects each having a voltage level of 110 kV or higher and two projects of 35 kV power transmission line construction. #WBE #Batteries #Energy Storage
