At the end of April, the New Trends in Civil Aviation 2024 (NTCA) conference was held in Prague ✈️. This was already the 24th year of a series of conferences organised by the Department of Air Transport of Fakulta dopravní ČVUT v Praze 🎓. The objective of these conferences is to provide a platform where members of communities interested in air transport operations and applications are able to interact. The conferences are designed for both specialists from practice and academics and serve as a forum for exchange of opinions and experience regarding technology, methodology, applications, and case studies as well as real cases in both civil and military aviation. NTCA originally used to focus on the Central European region, especially the Czech Republic and Slovakia, only but has gradually attracted the attention of other countries around the world. Czech Airlines Technics was the silver partner of the conference with Aneta Komárková, Ondřej Trčka, Hubert Pikl, and Lubos Pirek present on behalf of the company. #CSAT #pragueairport #aircraftmaintenance #maintenance #aviation

Embraer and AICAT (Industrial Cooperation & Aviation Technology) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance international cooperation in the aerospace sector. The cooperation adds to Embraer’s existing relationships in Austria while exploring additional opportunities such as joint research, technology development, and contributions from the Austrian ecosystem to the supply chain of the Embraer aircraft programs. AICAT is an organization part of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, representing the entire aviation technology community in Austria. ”For AICAT, an association representing about 100 Austrian aviation companies most of which are SMEs and position themselves in the supply chain, an intensified cooperation with Embraer underpinned by an MoU is a great opportunity and will help both, Embraer and the Austrian aeronautical sector, creating a more structured collaboration for their mutual benefit”, says Reinhard Marak, CEO of AICAT. “Embraer and Austria have been building a long-term relationship for many years, and this partnership will continue to advance with the new Memorandum of Understanding. We thank AICAT, the companies, and the Austrian government representatives for this important step in our partnership,” says Marcio Monteiro, Market Intelligence Vice-President, Embraer Defence & Security.
