𝟯 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 On May 31st, I had the incredible opportunity to host the Institute of Business Administration School of Business Studies, IBA Karachi 3rd International Conference 2024. From representing Pakistan and IBA Karachi at Harvard MUN to moderating this prestigious platform, my public speaking journey has been nothing short of transformative. Here are three lessons that have redefined my approach to leadership and communication: 1️⃣ 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: No event goes exactly as planned. From last-minute schedule changes to technical challenges, hosting events has taught me the power of quick thinking and adaptability. This skill not only helps in hosting but also translates directly into effective leadership. 2️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀: Engaging a global audience is about understanding your listeners. Whether interacting with academic scholars or industry leaders, knowing how to tailor my message to resonate with different cultural and professional backgrounds has been critical to successful communication. 3️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Whether it’s a high-stakes keynote or a simple team meeting, clarity and confidence in communication are essential. Hosting these events has sharpened my ability to stay composed and persuasive under pressure.
