As part of our AI and data analytics activities, we are proud to announce that our abstract on grid resilience was accepted by the CIRED Chicago Workshop 2024. We will present a new method for assessing power grid resilience based on time series analysis and dynamic systems theory. The method allows utilities to monitor grid stability and identify vulnerable parts of the network. This makes it a powerful data analysis tool for reducing power outages which are still considered as a major problem in most parts of the world. The method is implemented in our new module GridProtect which will be part of the ZONOS module TheFuture. It was developed in collaboration with the University of Münster as part of a research project funded by the ZIM initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate.
