This is totally by popular demand. I wanted to keep #IdentityInANewYorkMinute focused on me walking around New York but Liz Iaconis suggested I do one on a gondola at the The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and so many people loved the idea, so here goes..... The truth is there is so much to talk about after the last few days here at Money20/20 so let's start with my personal reflections for today. All I can say is just, wow. People are recognizing that a single source of truth is a necessity at the enterprise level to support things like biometric payments, account recovery, step up authentication and more. To do that, you need cloud biometrics. Device biometrics doesn't cut it. And the minute you get into that discussion you walk right into privacy. Where is the data stored? Who has access to it? What is the process for deletion? How can you minimize the risk of a data breach? What data is actually visible to the system? Two years ago, I came here as a fledgling entrepreneur with an idea that privacy-preserving biometrics were a necessity to unleashing so many use cases for fraud prevention, inclusion and new user experiences. 60,000 steps later, I can honestly say that the market has caught up.
