🎉Exciting news for United States Department of Defense Military Civilians! 🎉 Launched on December 5th, the expansion of Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) shopping to DoD civilian employees will be piloted at select DeCA stores located in the continental U.S for 120 days. 💸The pilot will test the feasibility of expanding commissary access to DoD civilians at all stateside commissaries. Ultimately, boosting DeCA’s sales volume leads to greater savings for everyone through lower wholesale prices and more supplier promotions. For now, the 16 stores selected for the pilot are at the following locations: ✅Alaska: Eielson Air Force Base ✅California: Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and The National Training Center and Fort Irwin ✅Georgia: Marine Corps Logistical Base Albany and Robins Air Force Base ✅Maryland: Naval Air Station Patuxent River ✅Oklahoma: Altus Air Force Base ✅Texas: Laughlin Air Force Base ✅Virginia: Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, Joint Base Langley-Eustis (Fort Eustis and Langley Air Force Base commissaries), Fort Gregg-Adams, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (Little Creek Commissary), Naval Base Norfolk, Naval Air Station Oceana, and Norfolk Naval Shipyard (Portsmouth) To read more about this expansion, check out: https://lnkd.in/e5MkqaHu

Business goals/objectives can align with doing good for the military community, which not only impacts the bottom line but also creates lift in brand metrics among the military community.
Sweepstakes are not a new way to generate leads. Magic happens when brands leverage this tactic to reach a specific audience. Ziebart International, a leader in automotive appearance and protection services, recently executed a military-specific sweeps that awarded a trip to the United States Military Academy at West Point v. University of Notre Dame NCAA football game. The effort not only celebrates the military community but also provides a business impact to the brand. This initiative is a collaboration with NOCAP Sports and features support from New York Football Giants defensive back and U.S. Military Academy West Point grad, Elijah Riley. It’s a testament to how brands can align their values with meaningful causes. Peggy Steimel, an Arizona Army National Guardswoman was awarded the trip and attended the game. As a marketing consultant focused on connecting brands with the military community, I see this as a way to build a relationship with the military community while showing genuine appreciation to this segment. For those in the marketing industry, consider how your brand can authentically engage with niche communities. What values do you share, and how can you support them in a meaningful way? These are the questions that can lead to innovative and impactful marketing strategies. #MilitaryMarketing #MilitaryAppreciation #Military

#ARMYsProblem "The Army is seemingly having buyer's remorse after an $11 million marketing deal with the United Football League and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. "The high-dollar, high-profile deal likely didn't lead to a single new Army recruit and may possibly have had a negative impact on finding new enlistments, internal documents and emails reviewed by Military.com show. " "The news comes as the Army is in the midst of a historic recruiting crisis that has been partially worsened by the service struggling to navigate modern marketing trends." No. That's a million miles away from the real problems underpinning the Army's recruiting shortfall. The real problem is that the Army alienates the kinds of men who would make enthusiastic and capable warriors by imposing on what is supposed to be a fighting force culturally divisive, experimental, and corrosive ideologies. Instead of creating bad-assery, the U.S. military under the leftist leadership seeks to create a neutered and impotent legion of androgenous virtue signalers, shackled to protocols and norms that are antithetical to being effective fighters. Put a real leader in the white house and extirpate the woke poison from the regimen of the rank and file and the military wont have any trouble recruiting warriors. https://lnkd.in/gjgKkk4h

I believe this is one of THE BEST examples of how employers can invest in the #upskilling of the workforce so that it opens doors for people to earn a better living. Not everyone has or needs a college degree. Everyone who has a desire to want more from their professional lives should be given an opportunity to learn and grow. Who can be better positioned to do that than the employer? These opportunities help build loyal, dedicated and skilled employees that your business needs to succeed! Imagine if employers used this model to create #pathways for people with #disabilities to join the #workforce! At The Accidental Ally we have demonstrated what happens when you create opportunities for people with #cognitive and #intellectual disabilities to learn new skills, to apply what they are learning to real world problems, to work in real world work environments, to reach for jobs that have been off limits for them. We know they can rise above the expectations when given the right opportunity. With our limited resources, grassroots approach, we have managed to deliver impact in a short period of time. Imagine the magnitude of the impact we can deliver if our insights, our work are powered by employers who have the resources to bring it to life at scale? I have a strong believe that it will happen, it will take time but it will be happen! Kudos to #Walmart and #HomeDepot for recognizing the importance of what makes a business successful - it's the #people!
Yesterday, I joined John Furner, President and CEO of Walmart U.S., for a discussion on workforce development and how employers are building opportunities for the future. Whether it’s offering #upskilling to our more than 465,000 associates, transition support and training opportunities for #military members and their families or our Path to Pro partnerships to provide electrical, plumbing and HVAC training to future Pros, we’re invested in a stronger, more resilient workforce. After a nearly two-year shortage, Marine combat utility uniforms are making a comeback! According to Military.com, green cammies will be restocked and available for purchase again. The shortage, caused by pandemic-related supply issues, left exchange shelves empty and Marines having to make do with fewer pairs of uniforms. To address the shortage, the United States Marine Corps authorized commanders to allow troops to wear desert pattern uniforms or flame-resistant sets as alternatives. However, the Corps is now prioritizing restocking efforts to ensure an adequate supply of MARPATs (Marine pattern) at recruit depots, officer candidate schools, and other exchanges. Marines who don't have access to a local Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) uniform store can now place phone orders for uniforms from major Marine Corps bases. As additional inventory becomes available, it will be shipped to online fulfillment centers, making it even more convenient for Marines to get their hands on the much-needed uniforms. While the shortage is expected to be fully resolved by this summer, the Marine Corps will continue to implement measures to mitigate the shortfall until then. This includes allowing Marine leaders to choose alternate uniforms for their troops. The goal is to ensure that Marines have serviceable cammies and maintain the Corps' uniformity standards. #MarineCorps #UniformShortage #MilitaryNews #SupplyChain #AmericanApparel #MilitaryLogistics

Hi LinkedIn! I am an active duty military spouse of almost 20 years & a social media and marketing manager at Paige’s Bakehouse! I’m here to share my professional insights, absorb as much as I can from others, and expand my mind. The one thing I’ve learned is that I can’t (and don’t want to) do this on my own.. so here it goes…. What’s the best marketing advice you’ve ever received and how did you implement what you learned? #socialmediamarketing #buildingabusiness #wereinthistogether

Establishing your brand is much like trying to set up a base in a jungle, says our creative director, Chris, a former Royal Marines Commando officer. You have to cut through dense, tangled obstacles in a busy, chaotic environment to make sure you can operate in a crowded brand space. Each small, seemingly insignificant action, like trimming a vine, developing your logo, making your ‘A-frame’ and crafting your 'Unique Selling Proposition' statement feels like it does little, but it's crucial in the long run. Over time, these small steps compound, and you carve out a distinct, recognisable space for your brand. This dedicated space makes it easier for your brand to go out there and engage with potential customers, solidifying your brand's presence and influence! #BrandSpace
