IDA Sports took the #SayThePay pledge to promote inclusive salary transparency policies that encourage organizations to diversify their teams to reach a high-performance culture. We pledge to include a salary or salary band for at least 50% of all job posts for 2024 and 2025. By removing the “competitive salary” ambiguity and fostering transparency, organizations can create a sports industry that values inclusivity, fairness, and empowerment for all its professionals. From IDA COO, Rachel LaSala: "We joined the "SayThePay" campaign to advocate for more salary transparency policies across the sports industry. We believe in creating an environment that's inclusive and opportunistic for the entire team, both the employers and employee, and being transparent about salaries, salary bands, benefits, and the like creates fairness, clear expectations and empowerment for all professionals in the IDA family. Join us and #SayThePay!" #SalaryTransparency #Empowerment #InclusiveSalary #ValeurImpact

With market changes effecting salary increases, you still need to keep in mind that the talent you have in your organization is just as important (maybe even more) as hiring new talent. Transparency is key.
Transparency is key in job advertising, with salary information now required in many states to promote fairness and equality. Prioritize equitable compensation practices to maintain a harmonious workplace. #TheHRLady #managementtraining #hrconsultant #JobAds #SalaryTransparency #FairPay #WorkplaceEquality

The WNBA’s collective bargaining efforts go beyond the pursuit of fair pay—they highlight the critical role women play in driving revenue and shaping the future of sports. Their push for a share in the league’s growing financial success mirrors the broader movement seen in women’s soccer, where equitable treatment has led to significant strides. By advocating for higher salaries, better working conditions, and equitable revenue sharing, these players are setting a precedent that extends beyond sports. Businesses can draw important lessons from this: ◾ Revenue sharing fosters loyalty and helps retain top talent. ◾ Work-life balance policies boost morale and productivity. ◾ Equity in career growth creates transparency and addresses pay disparities. When companies embrace these principles, they can align employee contributions with long-term success and foster a more inclusive workplace.
