New challenges are testing the resilience of the supply chain in the pharma sector.   Recently, there were GLP-1 supply chain shortages and, realistically, intermittent weaknesses are expected to continue along this year. In addition, the increasing interest in mRNA-based applications, being highly sensitive, requires important technical considerations and issues to solve throughout the supply chain, as cold storage stresses the overall system, potentially compromising some of its components.   Stevanato Group works daily to address these challenges by focusing on a double effort. #event Yesterday, we held a live seminar at our Tokyo headquarters, with around 100 guests, including representatives from 54 pharmaceutical companies, wholesalers, and transportation partners. This was the fourth seminar held this year, and the culminating theme for this session was "The Physical Internet of Logistics." At the seminar, we invited guests from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, as well as the Boston Consulting Group, who delivered presentations reflecting on the 2024 issues and discussing the concept of the Physical Internet in logistics. Finally, our CEO presented a proposal for industry-wide standardization, aimed at driving further progress. Our objective is to advance standardization within the pharmaceutical logistics industry, enhance data connectivity and traceability of goods, and ultimately achieve industry-wide optimization. #OtsukaWarehouse #pharmaceutical #logistics #2024
