It’s no secret that the last three months of the year are make-or-break for nonprofits. If you haven’t started planning yet, don’t panic! There’s still time to get your strategy in shape and finish the year strong. 💪 Here are some top tips from nonprofits that are already smashing their goals: 1️⃣ Make It Personal: Tailor your messages to your sustaining donors. Show them the impact of their regular gifts and why their continued support is crucial. 2️⃣ Send a ‘It’s Not Too Late’ Reminder: Mid-December is perfect for a holiday greeting or a “happy new year” message. Segment your audience and include a subtle call to action for first-time donations. 3️⃣ Empower Your Advocates: Send engagement-focused emails to your key supporters. Sometimes, a hard ask isn’t necessary — just get them involved! 4️⃣ Switch It Up: Change the format of your emails. Try a postcard-style email with a strong image and punchy copy to keep things fresh and engaging. These are just a few tips to get you started - we have three more. Here at Funraise, we love intelligent reporting, and when it gives us insights into fundraising, we love it even more. Virtuous just released their Nonprofit Benchmarks Report, focusing on 7 metrics that drive resiliency and growth. Two of the most exciting to us are metrics 1 and 4: Donor Retention and Recurring Programs. It's no surprise that increasing donor retention or moving yearly donors to a monthly gift schedule can have drastic (positive) effects on your nonprofit's revenue, but Virtuous' growth examples really bring home the message. Take a look at the report: metrics that matter, excellent examples, and tactics to try! https://vrtuo.us/3TLBFzN

Tomorrow is one of my FAVORITE days of the year: GivingTuesday! 🥳 If you're a nonprofit, you are well aware of what tomorrow brings. And hopefully you're as excited as I am! Be sure to seize the day: 1. Have an active campaign to promote 2. Get the word out that you ARE fundraising on this day of generosity 3. Make it easy to give 💰 Not all nonprofits want to participate in Giving Tuesday, or think the hype isn’t worth it. I've heard from many organizations that say there's too much competition and that they'll be overlooked. Or they question how much support can REALLY come in on just one day, so assume the effort isn't worth their time. To these organizations I'd like to say – let's reconsider. As a donor, I get frustrated when a nonprofit I love doesn't participate. I joyfully want to support them on a day that celebrates giving back. If they don't ask for donations (and make it easy to give) it's a real bummer, and that donation may go to a different organization instead. And with my fundraiser hat on, I'm disheartened that they missed out on a such a great opportunity to connect with their community. Whether you're launching a specific Giving Tuesday campaign, or promoting an EOY campaign, be sure to participate and get the word out to your supporters! Have an easy, virtual way for them to give, and make that link impossible to miss. And of course share, share, share. If you need a little extra help, Givebutter has an incredible Giving Tuesday toolkit filled with hot tips and great resources. It's not too late! ✨ https://lnkd.in/gUCwXw35 And if you want to start planning ahead for next year's Giving Tuesday (or better yet, your entire annual giving strategy), Honey and Ginger, LLC is here for you. I'd love to connect! 🧡 https://lnkd.in/gMeYv-Xs
