Early Access Paper Just Posted: A fully automated perfusion estimation method from power Doppler ultrasound, named three-dimensional single vessel fractional moving blood volume (3D-svFMBV). The method addresses the long-standing challenge existing for nearly 30 years in standardization in tissue perfusion estimation using power Doppler ultrasound. A clinical exam alone is insufficiently accurate to differentiate cellulitis from abscess in many cases. On soft tissue ultrasound, cellulitis has a characteristic cobblestone appearance. Abscess, by contrast, is associated with a typical ultrasound appearance of discrete fluid collections. Tag us in your scans with Soft Tissue present. #pocus #ultrasound

Live case with Erin Murphy, MD, FACS on Thermal/Non-thermal Superficial Treatment from Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute. Moderated by Stephen Black and panelists Kush Desai, Marie Josee van Rijn & Nicos Labropoulos. There is a focus on the accommodation of a healthy vein during the procedure, emphasising the importance of ensuring the vein remains unjailed, especially at the stent edges. There are discussions about the confluence at the stent edge and ensuring that it is clear. The procedure involves pulling back in the IVC (inferior vena cava) and ensuring no lesions are present. Visual confirmation of the success of the procedure is a crucial aspect, with imaging used to assess the vein and stent positioning. They mention retrieving Ivis (Intravascular ultrasound) measurements to further validate the process. The team seems satisfied with the results, noting that the bottom part of the treatment looks good. #viocongress #vascular #venous

Considering a virtual colonoscopy (also known as CT colonography)? Here are three compelling reasons why you should: 🔍 Detailed Images: CT colonography offers clearer and more detailed images compared to traditional barium enema x-ray evaluations. 🔍 Detects Abnormalities: This non-invasive procedure can detect abnormalities not only within the colon but also outside it, including early-stage malignancies and potentially dangerous conditions like abdominal aortic aneurysms. 🔍 Minimal Discomfort: Unlike traditional colonoscopies, CT colonography is generally well-tolerated. No sedation or pain relievers are needed, eliminating the need for a recovery period. Interested in learning more? Check out our website here: https://lnkd.in/gB3fgB8d
