Our sustainability journey started in 2008, and it has steered how we build, use energy and water, manage neighbourhood waste and how we interact with people and businesses. We’ve understood that when we act from our better nature, nature gets better. Which is why we’ve launched Our Better Nature as a guiding mantra, for our pioneering sustainability efforts, and an exciting new experiential platform that invites collaboration and thought leadership. Commencing June – September 2024, we've planned a series of ocean- and nature-inspired experiences that celebrate all of Our Better Nature and inspire us to continue to improve. This uplifting programme includes a magical, after -dark entertainment programme at the Ocean Light Festival, After Dark concerts at the Two Oceans Aquarium, an immersive, ocean-inspired art route across the neighbourhood, and bundles of children’s holiday fun. The programme will also include events that highlight slow fashion as a way of being as well as sustainable seafood, encouraging a more conscious behaviour in consumption. Our Better Nature is intended to inspire you and your young ones to do better because together, we share the responsibility of shaping a greener, healthier world for all. Join the next leg of our journey and explore this first-of-its-kind event series via: https://lnkd.in/dTAScTVC. #vandawaterfront #waterfront #neighbourhood #precinct #ourbetternature #experiential #sustainable #green

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook the small wonders that remind us of the beauty and resilience of our planet. As in Emerson we embrace #EarthMonthEcochallenge, I wanted to shine a spotlight on one of nature's fascinating creations that sits proudly on my office desk – the Marimo. These little green orbs, also known as "moss balls," aren't just adorable desk companions; they are champions of inclusion and sustainability in their own right. Originating from the lakes of Japan, Iceland, and parts of Europe, Marimo embody the essence of community and cooperation. They thrive in inclusive environments, forming tight-knit colonies that support and protect one another, much like the diverse ecosystems we strive to preserve. Marimo play a crucial role in maintaining water quality and promoting biodiversity in their natural habitats. As they gently roll along the lake beds, they help to oxygenate the water and remove pollutants, creating a healthier environment for aquatic life to flourish. In a world where environmental challenges loom large, the resilience of Marimo serves as a powerful reminder of our interconnection with nature. By caring for these little guardians of the aquatic realm, I reaffirm my commitment to sustainability and the preservation of our planet. I think this aligns perfectly with the theme proposed by Emerson in this year's Ecochallenge: “Conserving Every Ecosystem, Caring for Every Creature”. This Earth Month, let's draw inspiration from the humble Marimo and embrace our role as stewards of the environment. Together, we can cultivate a more sustainable future, one “moss ball” at a time. 🌱💚 🌍 #EarthMonthEcochallenge #EarthMonthAtEmerson #EarthMonth #Sustainability #EcoChallenge #Emerson

It is holiday week in Denmark and a good time to spend time with friends and family - and also to reflect on our work and corresponding impact. In relation to this I am very proud to be part of Forsler.com. We believe it is essential to have a clear foundation of values that guides us - especially as a smaller growth company. We call it Routed in Nature, Growing for the Future. Routed in Nature speaks to our deep connection to the natural world. It shapes everything we do, from making sustainable forest management simpel and efficient - to creating traceability and transparency within the industry. Growing for the Future reflects our commitment to innovation and forward-thinking. We are not only focused on growth for ourselves but for the entire ecosystem - people, forests and future generations. In a fast-paced environment it is these values that keeps our focus on delivering upon our mission and strategy. The picture below is from my own holiday at the very northern part part of Denmark.
