As we round up our celebrations for our 3rd Year Anniversary in this month of May 2024, we would like to share one motivation nugget: Never despise humble beginnings. iHR Active started off in a bedroom office, to a container office, and now we occupy an office wing with 5 offices. Our aim is to own an office building, we are no where near this vision by any standards. BUT, we are certainly not where we were 3years ago. Keep pushing. Stay sharp. Keep looking forward and above all,. Be grateful! #onwardandupward #businessgrowth #consultancy #employmentagency #humanresources

Week 9 of our 10 year anniversary countdown. Complexity. One of approximately 18 moves. The project at Hong Kong Baptist University entails the decant and refurbishment of spaces to allow for the full transformation of several University Administrative Departments into modern day work environments with a mix of open plan and cellular office space aligned to staff needs. The project involves the refurbishment of identified spaces to collocate and focus the administrative functions to improve internal communication and adjacencies.

End of 2024 approaching and feeling gratitude. We moved offices mid year, and at first it didn’t seem a big deal, but after 6 months can say coming to the new office daily really has uplifted spirits and given working at #AIA a new meaning. The great gym, canteen, open collaboration spaces, the running track, great views and light, it all adds up to a new heartbeat. Just going to gym during lunch regularly and a short climb up to the green spaces around, gives a boost. And then there are the extra things, like women’s health talks and education, children of employees invited to the office for craft and movie afternoon, and more. The biggest win is having everyone together in one building; working in Group Technology, my favourite feeling is the business pulse, through good times and bad, and helping them have the best experience with technology as possible. We not doing IT for sake of IT here, it is all about what is a win for business, and the best measure is hearing feedback realtime when walking around and meeting people. Sharing a video of Christmas carol singing in the office last Friday with mulled wine and mince pies, and you can see why it’s difficult to feel anything but gratitude for this last year. 🎄Merry Christmas! 🎄 ( not a sponsored post, my own opinions shared, but seriously, do come work at AIA if you can!)

Teamwork and the Holiday Spirit: Turning Collaboration into Magic This year, at the Swiss entity of Sol-Millennium Medical Group, we decided to make our office special by decorating it for the holidays. But it wasn’t just about decorations; it was an opportunity to engage in team building and strengthen collaboration among colleagues. In our regions, it’s a tradition to set up holiday decorations between the 1st and the 8th of December, so we took the opportunity to honor this custom together. Everyone contributed: Andrea Maspero Marco Belluzzi Cinzia Marasco Ruidan Li Giovanni Mondo Gaetano Buttò Cristian Appari Davide Galimberti from creative ideas to hands-on work with lights and ornaments. At the end, we all came together to share a moment of celebration, enjoying panettone and pandoro (and a small glass of spumante brut...even this is a secret...shhhh ! don't tell it around... 😀) This experience reinforced to me two important lessons: - Be happy with what you have: appreciating simple moments, like decorating together and sharing a smile. - Keep the drive to improve: the desire to grow, both as individuals and as a team, is what helps us achieve greater goals. The same mindset applies to every project: value what we’ve already built while constantly looking forward, searching for new solutions and ideas. Our office now shines not only with lights and Christmas decorations but with the spirit of collaboration, passion, and the drive to grow because we are #proudtobesolmillennium #TeamBuilding #Collaboration #HolidaySpirit #WorkplaceCulture #GrowthMindset #OfficeCelebration #Traditions #ChristmasDecorations

📣 Employee Spotlight! 📣 We are thrilled to celebrate Anthony Plourde’s 10 year work anniversary with BetterSleep! Anthony, our AVP of Engineering, has been an integral part of our team, embodying dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment throughout his tenure. To highlight this milestone in an impactful way, we celebrated together with a memorable sushi night filled with great company and conversation. We recently asked Anthony 2 questions about the past decade with BetterSleep to understand a little more about what has been most meaningful to him - check out his responses below: **What are you most proud of accomplishing during your past decade with BetterSleep?** “It's challenging to single out one accomplishment over the past decade, given the journey we've had. However, I take pride in the lean-and-mean approach we adopted to build BetterSleep and nurture our development team. As a bootstrap company, we had to be creative in maintaining cost-efficient infrastructure while fostering a highly effective dev team capable of high velocity. Our ability to quickly deliver quality with limited resources has not only impressed newcomers but also contributed to the company's growth, culminating in the acquisition by Teladoc in 2021.” **When you think back on your time with BetterSleep, what is one of your favorite moments or memories?** “Reflecting on my journey with BetterSleep, countless cherished memories flood my mind. Among them, the camaraderie and joy shared during our various team gatherings stand out. From intimate office gatherings during our early days to epic chalet off-sites, beach and camping outings, these moments encapsulate the essence of BetterSleep's vibrant culture. The genuine bonds forged during these occasions have made every day at the office feel like home, surrounded by supportive colleagues who embody our 'work-hard play-hard' spirit.” Please join us in congratulating Anthony on this incredible milestone! We are truly fortunate to have you as part of our BetterSleep team - here’s to many more years to come. 🚀 (version français plus bas) #EmployeeSpotlight #MeettheTeam #WorkAnniversary #BetterSleepTeam #inspiration #WorkplaceCulture

As another work anniversary goes by (21 tomorrow) I can’t help taking a moment to reflect on how the workplace and job has developed over the years. When I was growing-up in the industrial West Midlands of England in the seventies, the risk of unemployment was a major topic in every household. A once proud industrial sector was in a nose-dive, shedding jobs in a last-ditch attempt to remain competitive. Many who were approaching the end of their careers, including my father, lost not only their immediate job, but also the chance to use their skills and knowledge again during their lifetimes. As our Danish prime minister is always keen to remind us, such is not the case today. Certainly, it is not at FOSS where it seems the opportunity to work on interesting new areas just keeps on growing. Whether it is a deep-dive with a technology expert or an interview with an industry professional explaining the growing need for actionable test data in their work, it is more obvious by the day that the things we are working with are both topical and relevant. Add a nice teamwork environment, a running club and a gym and the job becomes a playground for ‘sustainable’ content creation with a serious and meaningful edge. It’s a great antidote to those lingering impressions of a different age. Looking at photos of the old factories, the Wolverhampton local paper reports that many of the old buildings from sites such as the once huge Sunbeam motorcycle plant are now back in use for an altogether more modern form of manufacturing.

Today marks the official end of the first work week of September—time truly flies! It feels like summer just began. Today, I want to discuss why the fall period is so intense for construction and painting companies. For many companies, fall is a particularly busy time. However, at Legacy Contracting Services Inc., we stay occupied throughout the entire year. I’ll share some tips on how we manage this at the end of this post, so stay tuned! Why is fall such a peak period for construction companies? During the summer, people tend to be more relaxed, enjoying time outdoors, spending with family, and taking vacations while their kids are on break. As soon as September arrives, we experience a significant increase in customer inquiries and emails. Although the volume of work might be similar to spring, the transition feels more abrupt and intense. Weather also plays a crucial role in people's decisions. Early fall is an ideal time for both exterior and interior projects. So, how does Legacy maintain a steady workflow throughout the year? The answer is simpler than you might think: we excel at properly distributing our workload!

I've been so busy this week, I missed my own two-year anniversary at Fortune! Well, happy two years to me! It's been a very cool and productive ride so far. That's probably my favorite word: productive. Everything I do is with that in mind.. how can we do it quickly, smoothly, productively, without compromising anything? Not always easy, but that's the only energy I'm trying to put out. Throughout all the changes, since I started in 2020, I've been able to: - Completely overhaul and upgrade the outdated network services and access points at our HQ, completely from the bottom up - Create and implement a beautiful asset tracking system (no more spreadsheets) - Help build an automation process for all onboarding processes, including access groups, installed software, and more - Internally promote two (soon to be three) direct reports of mine to higher positions (including one of them now being a people manager), while maintaining a very diverse team under any metric you can think of - Help lead and transform our Return to Office efforts - including upgrading all of our Conference rooms (making them Zoom Video and Teams Video ready at any moment), building out the ability to schedule any and all rooms in the office as well - Become an official mentor to numerous associates at the company and help guide them on their journey, advocate for increased racial diversity at the org, assist in different ways we write our job listings and seek talent to be more intentional with diversity.. ..and really, so much more. I'm thankful for the trust folks at the company give me, but I've got so much more table-shaking planned and so much more to accomplish. Let's get to it. 🥂🤝🏾
