From Vision to Legacy: Igniting Innovation, Inspiring Generations Today, as part of our "31 Untold Stories of IIE Centre," we reflect on the transformative vision of Our beloved Chairman sir Dr. Shivakumar R, whose leadership continues to inspire us. It all began with a simple letter, written in hope and determination, seeking guidance to ignite a spark of change. What followed was a journey of collaboration, courage, and unwavering support that laid the foundation for what the IIE Centre has become today—a beacon of innovation and purpose. From that first meeting to sharing dreams and building a shared vision, Sir's wisdom and belief in the power of ideas have been the driving force behind our growth. He reminded us that true innovation is not confined by walls but thrives in the minds and hearts of those who dare to dream. "Innovation is a fire, but it is your hearts that must keep it burning," he said. These words continue to guide us, lighting the path forward for generations of innovators and dreamers. As we celebrate his legacy, we are reminded that every great journey begins with a dream, nurtured by those who believe in its potential. Let this story inspire you to dream big, act boldly, and build a legacy that will shape the future. SRM Group of Institution, Ramapuram Dr.Sakthi Ganesh Murugesan Akarshak Bose Eeshwar S. With only 2 days remaining until the 2024 IASP Inspiring Solutions submission deadline, let’s celebrate the runner-up of our 2023 awards, Linköping Science Park’s “Brilliant Mentors of the Future”. This reversed mentorship program connects seasoned business leaders with university students, facilitating intergenerational knowledge exchange and enhancing local businesses' ability to attract and retain young talent. Program highlights: - Launched in 2021, the pilot successfully established eight mentor pairs, expanding to 13 companies and over 40 student mentors in 2023. - It significantly improved communication and understanding between companies and the emerging workforce, helping to shape the career values of young talents. - The program's success caught the attention of former Sweden Prime Minister Stefan Löfvén, highlighting its impactful reach. Why it’s innovative: Reversed mentorship challenges traditional roles by empowering young talents to mentor seasoned professionals. This unique approach enriches leadership, fosters innovative thinking, and bridges generational gaps, establishing it as a model for future-focused corporate development. Feeling inspired? Given the pressure CEOs and leaders face in today's world, finding peace to focus your intention is something I have found to be critically important. On top of delivering on the business—which is an obsession of leaders, as it should be—the political climate, world events and now even the weather are adding an enormous amount of stress into our lives. Each person needs to find what works for them, but I’ve boiled it down to 3 things that work for me: - Wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal and meditate - Take 5 minutes to write in a gratitude journal and remind myself what I should be appreciating - Make my bed That last point was inspired from Admiral William McCraven’s address at The University of Texas at Austin’s 2014 Commencement. Believe it or not, it works for me. The day starts, and I know I got one thing done! At ConnectScale Consulting, we help leaders drive business results, but know that the health and welfare of the leader is the first step. You can not help anyone unless you help yourself. What habits work for you?
