🚛 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The European Council voted to reduce emissions from truck traffic by 90% by 2040. And the number of electric trucks on the road is already growing. In 2023, there was a +234.1% increase in new electric truck registrations compared to 2022, to reach 5,279 registrations. 📈 This makes the transition to electric trucks an interesting area for us. It’s time to #electrify transport ⚡ The new European Commission has pledged to make a legislative proposal for clean corporate vehicle fleets.👏 ❓ Why is this good news? About 60% of new cars in the EU are corporate. They drive on average twice as much as private vehicles. ✅ Electrifying them will boost demand for electric vehicles (#EVs) across the continent and reduce transport emissions. ✅ As these vehicles are typically sold after 3-4 years, it will also accelerate the EV uptake in the used cars market. We are calling on the Commission to propose this legislation in 2025 to accelerate the #electrification of vehicles! A typical transport refrigeration unit consumes about 3 litres of diesel per hour, emitting 8.1 kg CO2/hour. With Addvolt, you can change that.
