BIG NEWS: IM Efficiency receives €2,651 million subsidy from the Dutch government for its contribution to the SolarNL program. 🌞 IM Efficiency has secured a €2,651 million subsidy from Netherlands Enterprise Agency for the SolarNL program. This funding will support the development of solar technologies that integrate high-efficiency solar panels, made from dutch solar cells, directly into trailers during the production process. End goal: Equip 10.000 trailers with integrated solar technologies by 2028 and establish manufacturing capacity to supply 100.000 trailers per year. About SolarNL: SolarNL is a national research, innovation, and industrial development program funded by the Dutch government, aimed at bringing back and stimulating photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing to the Netherlands. We’re proud to be part of this program! With this subsidy, we are accelerating the transition to green road freight transportation while positively impacting the Dutch economy by using locally manufactured solar cells. How does SolarOnTop power heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (#HVAC) systems 24/7 without running the engine? 🚛 🌞 Discover how one of our customers saved 1.672 liters of fuel annually by using #SolarOnTop to power the HVAC system and other electrical appliances: https://lnkd.in/eFb_6Y8W Here’s a brief overview of how the #SolarOnTop technology works: Step 1️⃣ : By installing solar panels atop the trailer, #SolarOnTop converts solar energy into green and cost-free electricity to power all onboard electrical appliances within the truck-trailer combination, including the HVAC. Step 2️⃣ : The #SolarOnTop energy management system intelligently decides where to deliver the solar energy based on the vehicle's needs. For instance, as you drive, the technology prioritizes truck and cabin power, but while loading goods, it redirects energy to the tail lift. Thanks to #SolarOnTop, during 2.256 hours of operation, the HVAC system and other electrical appliances operated solely on solar energy. The report presents the results of the #SolarOnTop technology integrated into the trailer of our customer Van Rijnsbergen, a Dutch transportation company.
